The size of football clubs and where we fit

Recommended Posts

If Forest are in "Big"

We should be in big.

But...it doesn't really matter anymore.

Football is skewed.

There was a time that if a tiny club like Bournemouth were in the Top flight and we were in the 2nd division a player would still come here.

Probably if we were in the third!

But now....

It's odd.

Look at Chelsea.

Averaging 19,000 in the early 1990's.

Now they're a world away as a club.

Hard to say really, we haven’t been relevant as a team for a good few years. Poor ground and facilities, commercially, miles behind most clubs. Even sides like Norwich are better us at all of those things, and are probably better supported As I said, hard to say, as we’ve been in the doldrums for many years

Exactly. Massive clubs don't spend 20 years plus outside the top flight. Big clubs don't even do that. Then you see Everton and you realise it's Neil having us all on probably

Chelsea and Man City were two clubs that seemed to be going nowhere in the early 90s. Just look at what proper ownership and businessmanlike behaviour can do to a football clubs foundations.

Yes, plastic, but shines more than turd.

This is it isn't it. People say its all about money and yes that's allowed them to do what they have but they also have a plan for that money. We have money relative to our level but without a plan. I'd love for us to have an owner to look longterm, we won't even put a bid in for the 2030 world cup as a club I bet. Training ground will remain a poo hole. Academy underfunded. Nothing put in place to generate revenue outside of changing the pies at the ground. But yeah.... Massive mate
