TINGLE75 297
A friend of mine has just shared this. He has become a member of Sheffield F.C for £30. He gets some nice stuff and helps try to finally make the club bigger. I understand they are going through the process of trying build their own stadium (4,000 capacity). Nice to see a local club possibly on the up.

OwlerIT 421
Sorry they have to change their badge from it looking like a pig one before I am in

Sambo89 805
Used to go past their ground every morning on my way to work. Never been to watch them but always thought about going. Good luck to em! Something to be proud of being the oldest n all that.
TINGLE75 297
Yeah I used to live near the ground. I find it bizarre that the oldest club in the best sport in the world play behind a pub. They should have a proper ground and use their status to bring people into the city. Maybe a museum?
PortlandOwl 1,573
Hallam FC wear a similar strip to us.
Rogerwyldesmullet 2,943
Oldest club in the world. Any other city would have built them a ground and museum anyway Sheffield Council on the other hand just finds a variety of ways to spaff money on mad projects like Don Valley and the Airport and grumbling about HS2
Joe Jockstrap 370
Don’t quote me on this but I think they are building a new ground on the old transport ground at Meadowhead, including a museum/pub. My old stomping ground so will certainly go to a few games, admittedly in Pig Land Central but should be fun.

Morepork 14,775
I could buy into this but only as community/grassroots thing. I would say “we” could learn a lot from them and plenty of other clubs down the leagues.....

Sambo89 805
Apparently the chairman is trying to sell their existing ground as a housing development with the money going into building the new ground with a museum and an academy. Looks great on the website. Definitely long overdue as the home of football.
