On the way home I was convinced that we would walk it the next season.

It was so obvious what we needed , we couldn't fail.

We had the perfect foundation to build on.

Instead we decided to go way off track.

Brighton did exactly what we should have done.

That five man midfield of their's will probably edge it.

What shall we do?

Jakupović

Odubajo      Dawson      Davies       Robertson

Elmohamady   Livermore         Huddlestone   Snograss

Diame
Hernández

Ah yes. Drop Lopez and go 4-4-2.

And squeeze together our statistically worst striker partnership..

Hull were better than us on the day, but look where they are now.

We might well be playing them again in League One next season

I've never watched any clips of that game and I doubt I ever will.

The highlights of the day were the atmosphere in the pubs and around the ground beforehand, and seeing our end of Wembley packed to the rafters as we tried to urge the team on.

I couldn't sit through a re-run of events on the pitch, though.

Same, had such a great day pre match, beers in the Green Man before atmosphere was amazing.

Less said about the game the better. I'll never watch highlights again.

I stopped by the Radio Sheffield van outside Wembley on the Friday evening when they were doing the live show and there was a debate as to whether Lopez or Hutchinson should play. I got asked to comment just before  the end of the show and I said play Lopez and bring on Hutchinson for the last 10 mins or so if we need to defend to hold out. It was obvious FFS but Carlos played safe and also FF should have kept going at their defender who was booked early on for bringing him down. Can't understand it to this day why FF didn't put the defender to the test after that card.

TBF the atmosphere in the pubs around the ground after the game was good as well.

Our supporters were drinking and singing as though we had won whereas the Hull supporters were very quiet.

The defender was Dawson. He did what we never do, took FF out early, no risk of a red card.  We proved that day that Wednesday fans are amongst the best in the country. It was a tremendous day until Hull scored.
