Popular Post Zarostulus
I'm a Barnsley fan but I look out for all Yorkshire clubs' results. I know local rivals are supposed to just randomly hate each other, but I like to see Yorkshire clubs do well. We've got more in common with you lot than we have the Brentfords and Bournemouths of this world. I mean, obviously when we play you I'd like to give you a thorough spanking, that's just part of supporting your local team, but it genuinely p1sses me off to see one of our county's historic clubs (not just a football club, but a centre of local community) being treated as one man's ego project. It feels like every club in our region has an identity. Blunts have their tactical system, Wilder as a trusted long-term coach, long-serving players etc. At Barnsley we have our commitment to pressing football and developing young players for profit to steadily move us up the leagues and punch above our weight. Leeds have their commitment to ultra-attacking football even if results go against them. Etc etc. What is Wednesday's identity? Other than bad accounting and one man's name being displayed in every perceivable place? Does Chansiri even have the ability or thoughtfulness to try and set something long-term going? Will it take Chansiri leaving for SWFC to ever have a stab at the top flight again? For what it's worth, League One was good to us. It gave us the chance to move on a lot of dead wood, build a fresh team of hungry young players and develop our long-term identity. The question is, would Chansiri take that opportunity to build for a healthy long-term future, or would he fánny about and leave you mid-table or worse? 20

Rogerwyldesmullet
I would have thought it is clear and screams at the world from the very seats of the stadium ”Chansiridentity” This is our character whereby overpricing goes hand in hand with under performing.

Popular Post quinnssweetshop
Appreciate the visit and good post. The answer is " worse " We are without doubt, the worst run club in the country. We have an egotistical narcissist who wants to act like he's Thai royalty and have everyone bow down to him. Phook chansiri. Nothing but a pathetic no job wannabe hanging on his daddies coat tails
Mr Farrell
Chancer will keep taking the club lower and lower, both on and off the field. He's incredibly lucky there are no fans in the ground.

Bluesteel
I think the last paragraph is something we’ve hoped to avoid having to find out but we will soon see. L1 could be an opportunity to rebuild but we need to get straight back out. Many big clubs havent
latemodelchild
Our identity is chansiris name. We are chansiri. It says it everywhere. He isn't doing a very good job of running a football club if you look at the evidence. Unfortunately he seems unwilling to sell and unwilling to learn from his past mistakes, which are myriad. We are in a spiral of decline that shows no sign of bottoming out yet. Just when we think we've hit the bottom we find a way to drop further. League 1 won't be our lowest level if this carries on. And nothing has happened in the chansiri era to suggest that it won't carry on.

marconi
We might all become Barnsley fans soon if Chansiri continues to run the club into the ground.
83owl
Our identity is one of weak mindedness. If you’re team can’t win, score etc then just play us we will sort that out for you. Were pretty good at giving out well paid contracts to players which are old and crap as well.

Guest mkowl
Tbf I have never really minded Barnsley. Being from the far north side the rivalry was as much with them as Utd at school. Quite lively exvhanged but I was mates with a few. Our case just proves that money cannot buy success. It helps but in the Championship having a plan on the footballing side, building a team, creating that identity is much better. Unfortunately our top level management have presumed that if you throw money at it, chuck in a head coach it will miraculously achieve your aim. The simple adage that can apply to any club Fail to plan, plan to fail. We are reaching the point where our wretched plan is taking us to League One. There is no misfortune here. The risk is the abyss created is so large we may sink lower, nobody would be surprised if it was a footballing black hole never to return.
matthefish2002
Like others have said we have had the Chansiri brand stamped on us that much they is not much left behind. Cake ball, 2min silence for dead Thailand king (but none for great past players who have passed away), high ticket prices and seeing his name hundreds of times on matchday as its plastered everywhere. Very true Tris, the worry is just how far do we have to fall to get rid of Chansiri and what will be left of the club, this is a living nightmare of ineptitude
