Monk’s squad:

Except Wildsmith, Palmer, Lees, Borner, Penney, Bannan, Shaw, Reach, Harris, Rhodes who all played tonight - had absolutely nothing to do with Monk.

Once again people looking for scapegoats and people to blame whilst the chairman is wandering around making decisions

Thompson won more games in a month than Monk did in almost a year - both had same chairman

Let’s get it right.

The most important transfer window in recent history was last summer. We went into that window with -12 points. That makes it considerably harder to attract players of quality - that is down to the chairman. The fact we spent very little money that window is because we have a business model where we let our best players who hold value run down their contracts and leave for nothing - Fletcher, Fox, Forestieri all examples. This is also down to the chairman. It’s hard to reinvest in the squad when you have no saleable assets or hang on to your saleable assets for too long until they lose value. Similar is happening now with Adam Reach and Tom Lees.

So you either spend money to replace the players you’ve let leave for free. Or you make sure your recruitment team is top draw to find hidden gems who have the potential to make the team better and make the club money in the future.

We did neither.

With a -12 handicap, evidently poor recruitment team and no money to spend we ended up with has beens, players with a ‘name’ who are on their way down and cast offs from other Championship clubs.

And all of the above is down to *drum roll please* - the chairman!

The state of the club currently lies with Chansiri.

The state of the squad lies with Monk.

He was a parasite on this club causing damage that will take years to repair. This squad is woeful.

yep, totally agree, Monk has got rid of Dave and Lee who would walk straight into this team, they were 100% vcommitted

Moore needs a complete rebuild, I would withdraw contracts to Reach, & Harris

In a perverse sort of way I’m pleased it’s all over now, rather than dragging things out with the odd win, only to be disappointed further down the line.  This group of players have proven beyond any reasonably doubt that most of them are truly not fit to wear the shirt, so I would be right behind starting the rebuild on Saturday.

We had 2 decent championship level goal scorers in fletcher and nuhui, got rid of them both and replaced with Marriott and Paterson.

He also replaced one of the best players in the division FF with ******** brown.

Not happy with that he froze out the spine of our team.

no goals = relegation.

thanks GM

Yes but Doncaster's setup and their Chairman are considered the "norm" whereas what we have in Chansiri and Paxo is quite somethihng else.

Darren Moore might be good at building sides and sniffing out talent but will he be given time and what's more will he be allowed free reign to do so  ?

Not convinced Monk did get rid..

But tbf, even if he did. He said he was looking to strengthen in the Jan. transfer window...and now we know, no foooker did any strengthening at all.

We’re good at finding new lows.

Maybe one day we CAN build back up.

Tonight is the pain us fans will have to take. Not that we deserve it.

(as for the youngsters, I would not mix them into this bunch of crumblers - don’t bring them down too. Give them a go in League One)

It took the pigs 6 years to get out of the 3rd division. And by comparison, they are a very well run club.

Not sure you can blame Monk for signing crap players for a team starting the season on -12.

I think most would go down the list and be surprised with the majority that actually came.

He also left keeping the likes of Fletcher and Fox ‘to the club’ to sort.
