one of the best films of the 80s get a sequel

"The trouble with "lessons from history" is that we usually read them best after falling flat on our chins."

"Girls are simply wonderful. Just to stand on a corner and watch them go past is delightful. They don't walk. At least not what we do when we walk. I don't know how to describe it, but it's much more complex and utterly delightful. They don't move just their feet; everything moves and in different directions . . . and all of it graceful."  Starship Troopers, Amen!

The Wesley Snipes character looks brilliant and is obviously satirical.

Could watch the barbershop scenes all day.

That could have been a mini series in itself

Loved the original. Soul Glo song stuck with me for years after watching it.

Watched the sequel last night, it sucked for the most part

Trust me I wanted to. I wasn’t sold at all on the kid who played Eddie’s son. The rest just felt a bit forced. I’ll give it another watch at some point

Read the reviews and it’s what I expected

I’d rather watch the first one again then put myself through this lol

If the reviews say its bad then looking forward to some good entertainment.

The last people I would listen to when watching an Eddie Murphy film is the critics.

The reviews I've seen have said what I expected them to say. It's a re-hashed version of the original. The barbershop scenes steal the film but it remains an entertaining enough watch.

Some bits I laughed out loud but it was a pretty jaded effort. Murphy lacked energy.

Snipes was terrible.

Some good nods to brewsters millions, etc.

6/10

Wasn't as good as the first, but by no means terrible compared what else is on offer these days.

There's always a danger that stuff gets dumbed down these days to not offend all the groups who seem to get far too easily offended.

It was fine.  Better than expected.  One or two good laughs; Wesley Snipes was fun.

You could watch it twice with a half-hour break in the middle in the time it takes to watch Snyder's Justice League.  So there's that.
