Must admit Sunderland was the one I had more concerns about, Norwich would be a good bet as an alternative but not sure they'd be keen to increase the ground capacity. I don't think our bid would need to concentrate on promoting the game within our own country, and Cardiff isn't that far anyway I think plenty would think of Hillsborough as a reasonable contender- based on history, it's us that are more doubtful due to the state of the place I would say. Hillsborough is world famous too-for bad reasons, but could it be seen as a way to promote what happened, why there was a fence up, how far the game has come in that nothing like that is needed here now and a kind of remembrance on the world level?
