Watto
Personally I think he's given DM at least an 18 month contract , I'd be very surprised if he came here on a temporary one to keep us up , I hope he has cause it'll make him work twice as hard to make sure we do stay up. Paul cook reportedly turned us down because he wanted longer than the end of the season , so what's changed Chansiri's mind if it is indeed a longer contract. striker
Suspect it's a rolling contract to include next season at least. When Chansiri does spend money, in this case compensation, usually comes with longer contracts. Don't see him paying money to get a manager in for 2 months.

CircleSeven
Needless to say I don’t know but it would be very odd to get a manager and his 2man coaching team to come for a three month job. There is no reason to think he will keep us up really. If he does it will be a miracle but I assume he’s here for the rebuild (even if we stay up it’s a big re-build). I can only assume Chansiri just didn’t like Cook much. Hence the offer of short term deal. Moore seems genuinely happy to be here. I mean in a way it’s hard to fake, properly happy. No one is that happy if the job is ‘keep us up or your fired’! Particularly given he was in role at Donny. I am usually wrong on football matters and DC is a mystery but the whole thing smells like a long term plan. I guess that’s why it’s so hard to believe because Chansiri never makes good long term decisions! As ever, time will tell...

Shetland Owl
We wouldn't pay compensation if he was just here until May
Guest
Do contract lengths really matter these days Hardly any manager ever stays the full length Moore will be here til a change is required
@owlstalk
"Yeah it's an 18 month contract" That's all that Chansiri needed to say That's it No secrets, no vague nonsense - just tell us What does that achieve? TRUST GOODWILL FROM FANS TOGETHERNESS Instead we get more secrets Over something as petty as the length of a managers contract It's pathetic really when you think about it Absolutely no need whatsoever to keep it a secret from the fans It would literally be a two second off the lips "18 months to start with" answer, and we'd all go 'ah ok that's good then!' and that would be the end of it 2 Owlstalk Shop

Watto
Ok so why wasn't cook offered the same ? Especially as at that time we could have had a much better chance of beating the drop
Elvin Parsnip
Probably a fixed contract until end of season then whichever league we are in triggers the pre agreed extension

Salmonbones
If Wednesday stop up, it's a 2 year or longer contract. Go down and it's down to how much grief Chansiri gets from the fans - in other words, out of the door unless he has some support from the fan base. It's end of the season but extra based on performance would be my bet.

Watto
I just don't trust Chansiri has made the right choice with whatever he's offered DM , how can anyone with his track record
mogbad
We wouldn't have agreed a 6 figure compensation with Doncaster if he was only going to be here for 14 matches. I suspect an initial 16 month contract then DC's usual 1 year rolling contract.

crookesowl
He’ll keep us up and have an offer to extend, which he will sack off because a better option will come in. I fear that what happens with our best players might happen to our manager.
