We've rented the elephants and that's pushed us over the FFP limit.

It will take years for us to get any money back for those

It's a very niche market even for D Pimps...

The auditors refusing to confirm the club as a sustainable business moving forward.

To be fair, the auditors do this every year because without DC chucking his dough in, we aren’t.

Thats exactly what its like....unless someone has a better example...

The auditors always declare that without significant financial support from DC, there’s a significant risk of the company to continue as a going concern.

DC always provides, non legally binding, confirmation that he will.

He’s said he doesn’t think there is anything wrong with accounts, so he must have given the same assurances this time as well.

Then how come the club is getting fined for not publishing the accounts?

I’ve no idea.

But, if it is because the auditors are refusing to sign off due to this going concern risk, it can only mean DC has refused has refused to put any more money in to run the club and we’re financially knackered.

Having paraded a new manager today and DC saying no problems, I can’t see him stopping funding.

Maybe the auditors require more proof now that there is no revenue coming in due to the pandemic ?

Why would they ALWAYS accept a "non legally binding" agreement?..He could change his mind tomorrow

Wrong year, but this is Wednesday so maybe we can blame it on Covid-18.

Same as every other club then Hooksy?

In a way yes, but we have likely overspent a lot more than every other club.

It was only a thought hence the question mark, but there has to be some reason DC said there is a slight problem and auditors not signing off is a distinct possibility.
