We capitulate in the vast majority of games against our bottom half opponents. Even today when we do the unexpected and get ourselves a two goal lead, the writing is on the wall as soon as we concede the first sloppy goal, and when we do fall behind, we've yet to rescue three points this season's n. If we'd appointed a manager and strengthened the squad in January, we might have a chance. As things stand, I'd be amazed if we stayed up. The team is poo, weak and full of injured nobodies, but we are where we are and we've got what we've got. We don't need 50 points per se, we need one point, one goal, one goal difference better than third from bottom, and we are just a few points from catching that team up with plenty to play for. The team has shown it can get a run together, and shown it can collapse in equal measure. When there's still hope then we carry on. matthefish2002 Posted February 28, 2021 Share Posted February 28, 2021 I dont think the current Wednesday side is the worst I have seen in my time. But it has the potential to be in the next 2-3 seasons with some many players out of contract, our dysfunctional recruitment system and no decent manager wanting to touch us with a barge pole.
