Barry Bannan once again in top Championship player stats

Barry Bannan takes 99% of our set pieces. By that default alone he should be in the top 10. The fact that he is nowhere near the top ten in assists only goes to prove his key passes aren’t good enough.  Our strikers and former strikers have better goal scoring records at their other teams. Case dismissed.

Not only is he in the top ten... he is top!

key passes what a load of codswallop.

I'm sorry Bannan in ineffectual.   He passes backwards and side ways more than forwards.   He isn't the solution to our problem.   yes he needs the players around him but he has been the problem for a lomng time.  His delivery from set pieces is shocking.   Corners awful and his goal return for a midfielder is pants.

I just don't get the praise for Bannan. Everyone's opinion is different of course but I've seen him play a ton of times and never seen anything special at all.

Maybe it's because his teammates are pi55 poor

Nice to see Bannan and Brown working effectively in the first half. Put more forward thinking players in the side and Bannan's creativity is less likely to be wasted.

Sure haters will say we are winning in spite of Bannan though.

If you're watching todays game there's no way you can criticise Bannan or his corners

Eh?!

What about the one that didn't beat the first man? Or the free kick that landed straight on the head of their defender? Or the pass back to Borner that was wayward and put him under pressure?

Let's not make out he's faultless.
