And therin lies the problem ....

We are shìt

And he's sat on top of the pile ...

He can be "Damned with faint praise" as much as you like mate....but the fact remains, we are scapegoating our best player, for no other reason than him being the best we have...Whats the f.ookin' point?

Is Chansiri gonna suddenly think..."Oh Aye"...

nah..course he isn't

its all self defeating tat...and TBH....Its done more to get replies and "Shock" fans than it is to make a point....The vast majority see it for what it is...

very poor fishing

It's not "faint praise" as you phrase it ....

I think Bannan is one of long line of players we've had rock up at Hillsborough that are constantly way way too over hyped ....

It's like bundles of posters on here  chucking the "Legend" badge around ...

They aren't legends and never will be ...

Legends are winners ...

We have no winners

We have no Legends ....

Playing three yard one twos with our defenders then laying it back to the keeper to hoof will give him great possession stats , but it’s totally ineffective.Wake up.

Nailed it

How many of those passes actually produce anything

Tippy happy 3 yard passes produce great "stats" that's all..

this weekend John Smith had a 100% pass ratio'

What they don't tell you is he passed it straight back to the goalkeeper everytime

I bet Thompson's on the phone to him right now.

This thread's not about possession stats, though; it's about key passes, i.e.- passes which directly lead to an attempt on goal.

The fact that only six other players have provided more goalscoring opportunities than Bannan would suggest he's not totally ineffective, but would probably benefit from having some better forwards to provide chances to.

key passes what a load of codswallop.

I'm sorry Bannan in ineffectual.   He passes backwards and side ways more than forwards.   He isn't the solution to our problem.   yes he needs the players around him but he has been the problem for a lomng time.  His delivery from set pieces is shocking.   Corners awful and his goal return for a midfielder is pants.

Not far off there to be honest..but still all we've got....

Or maybe his final ball is not good enough?
