On the Wednesday coaches, for the cup game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the club gave all supporters a packed lunch.

No joke - and I respected it.

It's a bit chaotic the positive timeline because it's getting on for bedtime but I'll try and put this in its correct chronological order tomorrow when I'm back from work.

-Best Wednesday team since I was a child

-Has messed up cos he's spent too much- far more forgivable than messing up and not spending anything like previous regimes

-Seems a good guy, didn't furlough any staff for example

-Very approachable for a multi millionaire owner.

-Positive outlook

-Doesn't let us get ripped off, Antonio for 1.5m anyone?

-I would like to stress again we are in a bad position because he was too ambitious- he tried to do things with us

There are lot problems and I wish he would change his approach with certain things but better the devil you know imho

The last point is always interesting and its also true. Having said that I think its hard to come up with a situation that could be worse that we are currently in. His behaviour at the moment isnt helping and since he fired Pulis, who he shouldn't have hired, he has well and truly fvcked us right up the harris, as they say.

Any good he has brought to the club is far outweighed by his performance over the last few years.

January 2015 - Chansiri takes over Sheffield Wednesday Football Club

Jan 2015 -    First involvement - the signing of Sergiu Bus, Marnick Vermijl and Filipe Melo. Young players of the right age purchased relatively cheaply who would have resale value if successful. None worked out, but low risk signings.
Apr 2015 -    Chief buddhist 'blessed' the ground - an irrelevance, but something culturally important to the chairman.
May 2015 -    Three 'advisors' appointed - Glenn Roeder, Paul Senior and Adam Pearson. All three left within months having revamped the playing squad by the time they left leaving us with the best team we'd had in at least 15 years.

11th June 2015 - Stuart Gray SACKED as manager to be replaced by a new continental style manager more suited to the playing squad being assembled.
Jun 2015 -    Signed Forestieri, Bannan, Lopez, Pudil, Hunt, Hooper, Wallace, Joao, complementing a strong core of players already at the club including Westwood, Lees, Loovens, Hutchinson, Lee. Also signed a few duds/underachievers as well including Lachman, Matias, Price, McGugan, Wiggins, Sougou but this was to be expected when replacing 2/3rds of the first team squad.
30th June 2015 - Carlos Carvalhal HIRED as manager
Jul 2015 -    Season ticket prices - cheapest Kop adult up from £360 to £395 - a 10% increase to fund increased spending for a promotion push.

October 2015 - beat Newcastle away in the league cup and then Arsenal 3-0 at Hillsborough against a team with many international players, First victory against one of the big 6 since 1999. Secured a place in the quarter finals in the process.

12th November 2015 - Chansiri announces Paul Senior and Jonathan Hill have left SWFC - Time in job 7 months (having completed the job asked of them)

17th December 2015 - Chansiri issues statement saying Glenn Roeder has left SWFC - Time in job 7 months (having completed the job asked of him)

April 2016 - place in play offs achieved for a shot at promotion back to the premier league for the first time in 16 years.

May 2016 - beat Brighton in play off semi finals and secure a first trip to Wembley in 23 years. Ultimately lost 1-0 to Hull, but expectations for the season were surpassed by getting there.

May 2016 -    Losses of £11m announced - to be expected and covered by the chairman and less than FFP limit.
May 2016 -    Average price of cheapest POTG ticket over 15/16 season - up from £23.57 to £31.11 - to fund better players.
Jan 2016 -    Club badge of 40+ years changed. Fans not consulted, but largely immaterial.
Jun 2016 -    Signed Fletcher and Fox. Added some depth with other signings but signed some really disappointing players such as Abdi and Emanuelson
Jul 2016 -    Lewis McGugan frozen out - player had lost interest in the game and couldn't get in the team on merit ahead of 3-4 other quality players in his position.
Jul 2016 -    Stripes ditched from the shirt. Fans not consulted, but this is something that had happened before and was nothing new - we had other kits where there weren't clear stripes in the 90s. Replica kits not for sale until after season has started.
Jul 2016 -    Season ticket prices - cheapest Kop adult up from £395 to £415 - to fund additional spending.
Jul 2016 -    Membership price up from £30 to £50 - to fund additional spending
Aug 2016 -    Bizarre squad numbering announced - an irrelevance.

16th August 2016 - Chansiri releases statement saying Forestieri had apologised to him for refusing to play against Norwich. Mistake made in that we should have sold for a good profit.
Sep 2016 -    Golden elephants placed outside of South Stand for good luck - a cultural thing important to the chairman but largely irrelevant.
Oct 2016 -    Two minutes silence for the recently deceased King of Thailand - another cultural thing important to the chairman and hardly a hardship.
Nov 2016 -    Puts CHANSIRI in place of SWFC on the North Stand seats. Garish, but largely irrelevant.

January 2017 - signed Winnall and Rhodes to try and get promotion over the line. Didn't work out for various reasons.
24th March 2017 - Club announce fan has won competition to design new 3rd kit - it's not made available until December that year

May 2017 -    Losses of £20m announced - more than FFP limit but still under on a rolling 3 year view.

Re-written the first two years to be more accurate. I probably can't find too many other positives for 2017-2021 but things were good before the money ran out. He's made loads of mistakes but majority of the points you have down for the first two years are either an irrelevance or like they're looking for negatives on purpose. Perspective is everything

So essentially he spent all his cash in the first two seasons in a dangerous gamble to get us promoted. It failed and it has subsequently risked the long term future and sustainability of the club. His expensive gamble could end up sinking us back into League One and potentially on the brink of a financial disaster.

How on earth is this being spun as a positive? It’s incredibly reckless from a man who said he’d leave the club in a better place than he found it.
