Lennon leaves Celtic

Given last years title without winning it fair and square but this season they are second in a two horse race by nearly 20 points.  Can they really claim they would have seen the season out to be victorious?

I’m not a big lover of Celtic, but they absolutely would have won the league last season had it not been called early.

The Pulis-Lennon axis that set up the Shaw deal has been broken.

Lennon "resigned" or was fired today.

The word is that Celtic will look to Europe for a new Manager.

Shaw sh*t on SWFC, the club that reared abnd developed him for over 10 years.

It may not end well for him in Scotland.

In footballing terms, they were 2-0 up in the 80th minute.

Of course they are likely go on to win that match, but it's not a given.

Celtic were awarded the title last year, they didn't win it in my opinion.  The biggest injustice was at the bottom of the league though, Hearts were awarded relegation but could have easily got out of trouble.

If he stayed here next season 100% of his opposition will be League One standard and he probably won't get paid on time.

I was going to write that, but I'm an optimist haha

Lennon was always leaving at the end of this season anyway.  Celtic and their recruitment team are quite proficient at picking up players cheap/for compo and selling them on a couple of years later.  Shaw fits that model for them. Doubt Lennon had that much to do with it.

Oh bugger

Has he signed a pre-contract though ??

This is the question. Since neither club has confirmed this and Bannan said it wasn’t done then Lennon back tracked saying it wasn’t complete there has been no official confirmation. There have been local journalists saying where he’ll fit in at Celtic making articles etc but they can’t confirm that he has signed.

Now I’m not saying he hasn’t l, but Lennon leaving if he hasn’t signed will give Chansiri an opportunity in my opinion. Offer him something significant, I’m not saying go mad but something that will get him to stay. Would be a massive boost to all.
