matthefish2002
Think Premiership teams have a bit of duty to let fans in if allowed even if just for one game. Sign of things getting back to normal.
Popular Post mcmigo
It is a truly dumb idea. Not all adults will be vaccinated by then. They will be by start of the next season. Why would you risk this for one poxy match, which in almost all cases will be a dead rubber given City will have won the league, and Utd and WBA and prob Fulham or barcodes already relegated. 12

Be 1/4 capacity at most with social distancing measures in place. Chances of virus spreading in open air is small.
@owlstalk
Just listened to 5 Live and they had some government bloke on saying there could be a vaccine passport that you'd need to have to get into sports from now on Owlstalk Shop
NobbyStyle
I would imagine there’s a certain amount of preparation to go into getting the grounds ready for fans, catering/stewards? Would clubs want to gear that up for 1 game? Surely best sorted in the close season for a full return?
Dronfield_SWFC
They wont do it ie in the Premier league the last game of the season is Newcastle v Fulham. This could be a relegation decider. The home side would have an unfair advantage for the final game
areNOTwhatTHEYseem
It'd be nice to have the opportunity to boo Kachunga in person before he leaves, at least. * * I'm joking! Love you really, Elias.

Why take the risk for one match when start of next season we have full adult vaccination? It makes no sense at all for one probably meaningless game. It would only take a handful of infected people to pass on infections, and long COVID is a shocker to get by all accounts. Plus lots of mixing in queues for pies/ bars/ toilets etc which are indoors.
Bob
Crazy idea for one match, as others have said, not worth the risk.

Cheltenham festival going ahead in March 2020 now recognised as a disaster; https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/feb/20/virus-dispersion-hub-packed-racecourse-cheltenham-festival Current variants transmit more easily than the original variant in march 20. Until we have vaccinated all adults in UK, mass attendance events should not happen.
