Stick or Twist?

Recommended Posts

Thompson's got a better than 50% win rating since taking temporary charge, highly unlikely someone will come in with this personnel and do better.

Could conversely get worse, stick with what we have til the end of the season now.

We aren't getting beaten badly in games and it's 50/50 we stay up.

Don't think it is the manager, if we got Pep I think he would struggle here.

Its like there's is a malaise within the club, every year we move a couple of players on and we still get the same old inconsistency.

We have tried many different managerial approaches and none have worked.

Carlos with his clock in and out when you want.

Jos with his freeze your best players out.

Bruce. We will never know.

Bullen arm around the shoulder

Monk get rid of the bad eggs

Pulis disciplinarian my way or the highway

Thompson see Bullen

The fact we’ve tried all these approaches is part of the problem. The culture is utterly undynamic and the club has no identity, no style and - forgive the marketing lingo - no brand.

It lurches from one managerial approach to the next, each trying to put their own stamp on the team while hampered by the squad of their predecessor. And all the while lacking in the support you’d expect from a well run club.

The culture in any organisation is set by the people at the top, and look who is at the top of Sheffield Wednesday FC. Is it any wonder the club is a shambles and will continue to be so for as long as the people at the top remain the same

Couldn't agree more.
