Didn’t we once lose to Wrexham at home? 2 nil? Rings a bell

I believe it was actually 3-0.

I used to go with my brother in law and that match was the only time we ever ended up arguing.  We both blamed different things / people for the low point the club had reached.

We played them at home in the league cup in about 2004.  I went along thinking I'd see some goals at last.  I did. Wrexham won 4-1.

My lowest point??

The phonecall from SYP telling me my dad had died of a heart attack whilst out driving.

Football doesn't even make a mark on the scale of low points.

Think my lowest point watching Wednesday was I think seeing us lose 3-1 away to Chesterfield in 2004.

Think Alan Quinn also got sent off.

Chesterfield were awful that day but we were worse. Seemed the club was in a permanent downward spiral as was only just over 10 years since the cup final days.

If that season was 5 games longer they was a good chance we would have ended up in Division 4.

Although I felt embarrassed by that defeat I didn't lose an sleep over it like others have said its only football.
