Wins the ball, follows through with a lack of control with his trailing leg and takes the player out. You don't get away with that these days and having been sent off for a similar challenge this season, he should know this, especially having already been booked. Lets not blame the referee for this, why did he feel the need to make such a challenge 80 yards from goal?

100 per fu**ing cent this.

But 2 yellows make a red................

It’s either dangerous play and therefore a red, or a good tackle and nothing.

Ref somehow gave neither, meaning he didn’t know what he was giving.

Good hard tackle even as recently as 3/4 years ago.

Doesn’t really matter, we weren’t setting the world alight anyway and would probably have lost either way

Shaw is an absolute tool, he’s not interested because he’s off....Thompson is showing his inept ability with his ‘tactics’ and the fact he never changes things....and the worst of all is Chansiri who is just a total clown

Why would Thompson keep Shaw on after getting booked the lad has proven to be reckless, this is where a manager ( or a fùcking man on the street) can see what to do.

Fùcking joke club.

If and when a new manager comes in, be it in this league or Div 1, the whole of the backroom staff needs replacing. They have all overseen our demise.

Disagree, but even if you are right, he should only be on one yellow.

The ref has ruined it

Agree about the first one, that shouldn't have been a booking.

But he knew he'd got one yellow so shouldn't have been so rash and risk a second one.

All you morons who thought Shaw should still play have showed how little you understand football. It was nailed on to end in disaster and the few of us who predicted it have been proved right. The most stupid decision I’ve seen in years by Thompson.

Isn’t hindsight a wonderful thing

he’s just inexperienced and we’ve hardly got a plethora of talent to fill in the gaps

Players and Staff consoling Shaw as he walked off instead of going ballistic at him for costing us the game just sums this lot up.

Another cowardly performance in a huge game.

Yeah, we need winners not players that need to molly coddled.

Everything is wrong at our football club, absolutely everything!

Recruitment, Coaching, tactics, style of play, attitude of players, player contracts, PR, communication from club, price of everything, Chairman and his rants!

Have I missed anything?

The experts are going to go to town on Shaw now. Thompson has got to take some responsibility for starting Windass. People can moan about Rhodes until the cows come home but he’s never had a proper run in the side. Countless managers have f***ed up IMO.

Poor from dunkley and Westwood that goal.

Westwood has to go for it because if hogan doesn't touch it it goes on.

Dunkley is terrible though. Must be one of the worst signings ever. Signed with a broken leg and when he's fit he is just a poor defender. Can talk a good game but awful on the pitch

I think Sally may view this somewhat differently if the name of the player sent off was not Shaw.
