Tony Pulis on Liam Shaw

Literally every time someone posts about someone stirring something it’s 100% always absolutely definitely totally wrong

Posting someone is ‘stirring it’ has always turned out to be ‘someone has said something about our club/a player that’s correct’

Agree. Also, is it just possible that hiring Celtic's former head of scouting as our assistant manager and then binning him off five weeks later with Pulis wasn't a stroke of strategic genius by DC?

I'd forgot all about it to be fair

That's a pretty good point

Doesnt' change the facts

Same as the facts that Sean 'Flair' Clare was said to be a big loss when he had looked good breaking into the team and went on his way.

I am disappointed we have lost Shaw, we should have had him tied down to another year last summer after he had broke into the team and nobody knew much about him. But imagine he was tied down to an extra year and Celtic still came in for him? They are said to be having to pay around £300,000 for him in the summer. Had he still been under contract, how much do you think it would have cost them to get him out of it? It's not like it would have been multi-millions for a kid with half a dozen Championship starts to his name.

It can't just be coincidence that Pulis turned to Celtic's head of scouting as the best man to work as his assistant at Hillsborough, then within weeks, Celtic have made an offer for our out of contract young midfielder and the guy who hasn't worked as an assistant manager anywhere is shown the door after about a month in the job can it?

Either way doesn't change the fact Shaw has cleared off for 300k

"Im not involved in that. Im told Barry and Reachy have been offered new contracts… That’s something that the chairman and the people at this football club have decided"

That answers that question then! Cheers!!

I would love to play for Celtic.

Glasgow is a fantastic city, Scotland is probably the most beautiful country in the whole world, you get to play in Europe every season, and play in front of massive crowds at a fantastic stadium.

He may have many faults but how can he have seen that coming

Nothing..nobody would be in for him..a pl club could have got him for peanuts..a bit of compo..and none of them are interested

You can get away with any two of:

*Hiring staff with strong recruitment links elsewhere;

*weeing said staff off by hiring then firing them within 40 days; and

*Allowing your best youth prospects to get within 6 months of their contracts expiring.

What you can't get away with is all three of them at once. Chansiriball strikes again.

(TBF, the third point is horrible strategy by itself. The first two just exacerbate it)
