Popular Post Lord Snooty
"A bitter evening ,Sir" "Yes it is rather" "Would you perhaps ... like me to put the heating on,Sir?" "I'm not kidding Stubbs, I know what you're doing" "Sir?" "I'm telling you right now, one quip from you about the boiler and that's you and me done!" "Sir" "Get my slippers!" "Very wise ,Sir" "Thank you... ahh, that's better. Ahhh. Oooh yes, oooh, nothing quite like feeling the warmth spreading around the old tooties, eh Stubbs? Makes you feel alive again!" "Indeed, Sir. One of the reasons why the Romans used - and successfully maintained - underfloor heating... over sixteen hundred years ago" "Out! Get out!" -------------------------------------------------------------------- STOKE V's WEDNESDAY 16th February 2021 Kick Off 7:00 pm Britannia Stadium --------------------------- STOKE CITY ---------------------------- Michael O'Neill with just 11 points being collected from 13 fixtures, knows that he is under pressure to oversee a turnaround in results, despite the limitations brought on by FFP this season. He almost certainly make several changes to his Stoke XI, including handing a recall to James McClean. . Barring any fitness issues, O'Neill is expected to name the same Owls side which started the game against Wycombe including ex Wednesday full back Morgan Fox and striker Steven Fletcher --------------- "Morgan has been a big miss for us, we don't really have anyone else who can play the role he does. So we've had to change things slightly in his absence. I'm delighted he's back and he's looked good in the week and shown no problems after his comeback last week, which is terrific news." Michael O'Neill Stoke City possible : Gunn Smith Souttar Chester Fox Thompson Mikel Matondo Powell McClean Fletcher ------------------------------------ WEDNESDAY ------------------------------------ Jordan Rhodes has netted twice in his last three outings, putting him ahead of Elias Kachunga and Josh Windass in the pecking order and stand in boss Neil Thompson will be hoping that he and Calum Paterson can keep up their fine mini-run of form. ---------------- "It's not always about a "Big name" they've been down that road before. But actually if someone's winning five of their last seven games, then does it matter how big a name they are? They're getting the job done. It's an incredible run of form and that's down to Neil and the relationship he has with those players." Andy Hinchcliffe Wednesday possible: Westwood Lees Dunkley Urhoghide Harris Shaw Hutchinson Bannan Reach Paterson Rhodes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FORM GUIDE Stoke City form: D-D-L-D-D-L Wednesday form: W-L-W-W-L-W ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ AS IT STANDS... Guest Kagoshimaowl
I’d take a point before kick off but we need 3 really.

I wouldn't say we need to win, keep picking up wins at home and the odd away maximum and we should be fine.

The only way is S6
Short & sweet omdt. I thought your lordship has had trouble with the old boiler for years? Another day shift for the cricket here, but sadly we’re doomed with a day to spare. Harry, Timothy & Denis are on a shocking run of form so hopefully we can turn the screw & add to their woes. 0-2 to us. Drag Cov & WRDC back into it. Tarquin
This could square the circle for us, a sort of redemption day. It all started at half time at Stoke on boxing day and we have been in strife ever since. Of course we could be heading for groundhog day.

shezzas left peg
Morgan fox "important player" who'd have thought over those first few seasons and scapegoat status. Credit to the lad for keeping going and becoming a good left back at this level. That said, he could be our chance to target him. He's been our injured and he's not the quickest, so let's get them quick balls down the sides out wide for Harris to use his pace against him. Hopefully it will get us some joy.

They are in crap form We’re in good form, we need to take the game to them - something clearly isn’t right in their camp at the minute and they have some big spenders 100% need to be targeting Fox with pace - Harris should have him on toast
Orlando_Trustful
A point would be a nice bonus from tonight. I am confident we will get that and then go into the big one on Saturday needing a win.
