@owlstalk
For those fans who have managed to watch our recent home games on I-Follow - how do you think our pitch is doing? Owlstalk Shop
Joe Sunburn
Everything comes down to money in the end. Ground could use better maintenance. Other clubs show better on TV. Is it the crew, their equipment, operations? A well maintained ground would help us instead of fighting it. UTO.

Uniteds pitch looks better but so it should, only half of it gets used a half

matthefish2002
I know it's been cold and wet lately but it's not usual to be cold and wet this time of the year. Think it was wetter last winter when some local places had floods. So I don't think that should be used as an excuse for looking a little worn.

prowl
Did we cut corners with the Desso? Does Desso have a limited lifespan? Did we buy the Lidl version of Desso? I've got a 20kg sack of grass seed if DC can't afford any.

My guess is we have cut corners with the pitches maintenance with the cash flow problems.

The state of our pitch and pitches in general has been discussed a lot recently as it is not just ours that is looking a bit worse for wear. Grass experts (ahem) have said in general it is probably down to the fact there was much less time in the summer to do the remediation work that would normally happen between seasons. Yes, there was the time between mid-March and June when no matches were played but there was uncertainty about how long that would last for so couldn't plan properly around that. Then football resumed during the best of the weather when the pitches would usually get treated.

This makes perfect sense We went from one season straight into another As others have said hopefully it works in our favour accidentally Owlstalk Shop
Ever the pessimist
There were people on Twitter saying the under soil heating is broken and we’re not repairing it, but they also said we can’t afford to use the lights which, as pointed out, is untrue.
