Please DC sign up Shaw and Urhoghide

If anyone who sees Owlstalk has any channel whatsoever to DC please can they use it to encourage him to sign up Shaw and Urhoghide.

 

I think we have seen enough to say that they are both very good prospects.

 

They also both seem to have sound committed attitudes.

 

The player transfer market is crazy compared to how it was years ago.

 

Promising young players can go for huge sums of money, e.g. Eze aged 22 at QPR  to Crystal Palace last summer for £15 million.

 

I do believe that this is the most critical and pressing decision to be made re players at SWFC.

 

Please DC do act upon it.

Think with player contracts these days it's more whether or not they want to sign one with us

Maybe nobody will sign a contract at Hillsborough until we know what division we are playing in next season

Maybe I'm being optimistic, but I'd say it's probably 50-50 that any of the out of contract players sign new deals..

We've offered contracts or are in the process of offering a contract to a number of players already, including Shaw, Bannan and Reach.

Without reveling any sources how confident are you about this?

 

Not only Shaw but Urhoghide too clearly has promise.

 

I think it is fair to say that Bannan, Lees and Reach may not have major re-sale value if they sign up but with TV money stilll flooding in to the Premier League  both Shaw and Urhoghide could in time be worth mega bucks.

It's a no brainer for us but 2 ambitious young footballers may not fancy LGE 1

I dont think anyone will sign a contract until the players are confident the issue with the wages not being paid in full had been rectified.

But in all honesty I feel we should act immediately.

 

Get the two signed up now even if only on one year extensions.

 

That would at least protect us for the next year.

 

To lose these two players for next to nothing would be criminal.

It's alright saying get them signed up now, but at least in Shaw's case it's up to whether the player want's to sign the contract that's been offered.

Enough to put any youngster off signing for us unfortunately.

League 1 is more competitive than the Scottish premiership
