Bannan is comfortably the best player we have had since the Italians in 98/99.

Gets so much stick its ridiculous but he always works, could have lost interest this season in a crap team but has always stated the desire he wants to stay and always tries to play his game. He loves the club because he plays every week and he knows he might not have done if he hadn't come here. He battles he runs he tackles and is the best player at the club by a country mile.

People slate him for not getting enough goals or assists and ye his numbers could be higher but that's why he at a lower league championship side. He's the player that gets us playing and ye he doesn't get the assists a quality number 10 does but look what happens when we miss with his position, we fall apart and never ever get playing.

He rarely drops below a 7, though admittedly Millwal was one of his poorest performances and the disrespect shown to him verges on the disgusting imo.

Agreed

It's not 'opinion' anymore

It's just sheeplike blind hate that people post just because they've seen someone else post it

Put the facts/stats and analytics in front of them and they dismiss it and just post more hate (bit like Trump and his 'fake news' tactic)

Reach or Bannan have been the top assister for us since 2015/16 and have both been in the top 3 assisters in all those seasons.

Anyone who thinks they don't contribute is either an idiot or has some sort of agenda against them.

2015/16 season Reach for Preston/Middlesborough 3 assists/ Bannan for us 2 assists. Neither in the top 5 assists for us.

2016/17 Bannan is in the top 3 assisters for us with 7 Reach does not make the top 3.+

2017/18 Reach top assists with 11 Bannan doesn't make our top 3 with 3 assissts.

Keep following these facts (not fairy stories) like sheep following sheep.

As stated, Bannan gets us playing and we fall apart without him. Its not all about numbers. Anyone with any intelligence that watches the games understands his quality.

Just debunking the lies told on here that the sheep follow like sheep.

You also see the same people who slag Bannan off for number of assists slagging Paterson and Jordan Rhodes off for not finishing off their chances

And these people do it without any sense of irony or thinking about what they're posting

Bless em

From Patersons biggest critic when defending Monk. lol

*asks for stats to be posted*
*I post stats proving Bannan's a top player*
*Emilanenko collapses into a jellylike embarrassment of nonsense posts*

Facts, he passes backwards and 2 yards between the back line to get his stats up.

Bit of truth in this tbh.

The athletic did an article last season and Bannan was second in the Championship of "chances created" list behind Matheus Pereira.

It's hard to create an assist when the striker(s) who is relied on to put it in the net is not the best.

I think Bannan is definitely in our top two/three players in the squad which obviously isn't much to write home about.

He stood out more over the seasons as the squad has declined in quality. He has the ability to influence games but never has done it enough.

Will always look back fondly of his time here tho.

Bannan was not in the top 5 for chances created.
