It is a decision which has not been taken lightly, given Jason’s outstanding commitment to the club as a player, assistant manager and manager. However, recent performances and results have fallen well below the board’s expectations. We feel a change is needed now in order to give the club the best possible chance of achieving the goals that were clearly set out last summer. We would like to place on record our thanks to Jason for his services to AFC Bournemouth over the past 22 years. He is someone who is fondly thought of throughout the club, having played an important role in rescuing the club from its darkest days and taking it on the greatest journey it has ever had. Jason will always be welcome at Vitality Stadium and we would like to wish him every success for the future. Paul Cook, anyone?.

George
I can't see Paul Cook being a fit for Bournemouth. They will go for a flash spiv not a scruffy fat northerner.

I remember when it looked like Bully had the job and the players then churned out two or three awful displays to make sure he didn't. Not sure why it is. Perhaps they're too chummy with the players and that eventually comes back to haunt them.

That's always something that has been said of Bullen - that the players downed tools to make sure he didn't get the job - but I'm not sure that has even been the case. His first spell in charge he simply looked out of his depth, 3 league games, 1 win and 2 defeats, the last of which against Burton was as bad as anything we had produced for years. 2nd spell - 4 league games, 2 wins and 2 draws - then Bruce's stooges took over and we got hammered in the next game. 3rd spell, start of last season, 6 league games, won 3 lost 3. The final 2 were defeats, one at Preston where we turn up and lose regardless of who is in charge and we lost thanks to Moses being a walking timebomb in our own penalty area. Last game at home to QPR was a poor performance but every manager we have had has had the odd result like that at times. He had 9 points from 6 games when we moved on to Monk. pazowl55
Note to all other teams in the division. On a winless run. Wednesday will see to that. Need a manager sacked. Wednesday will see to that. 1

Tommo is official caretaker manager. Keep it that way. Even bring in extra coachif required as things must be stretched.
