Hitcat 2,250
Not bad at all. Makes me wonder how many points were lost with the Pulis shambles. 7
owlandished 1,165
As Pearson said on radio tonight - if pep had taken the job we'd all be saying "what a manager!". "What a manager"

Spondon Owl 3,255
The concerning part of the table is that those around us have picked up some form. We need a few teams to absolutely nosedive. 3 1

Pablo Bonvin 8,508
I reckon Bournemouth will give Tindall the boot this week and Eddie Howe will go back. Edited February 2 by Pablo Bonvin
Quadzilla 720
If we keep picking up points it's just going to drag the Mid table teams into the relegation scrap. There's only 8 points to 13th
frastheowl 5,310
I wasn't convinced after the first couple of results at all. We were passive, negative in our mindset and fortunate to gain the points we did. After the Coventry shambles, then I felt we needed to get a manager in sharpish. However, there's been a definite shift in mindset following that Coventry game. We lined up with two strikers (and played them as such!) against Preston, looked to ask questions and got a good victory. And tonight, although I've only seen glimpses of it, by all accounts, we've been positive once again, lined up with two strikers, defended well and looked to asked Bournemouth questions. That's encouraging. I wouldn't be making any kneejerk decisions if I was Chansiri (when does he?!)...but on the same score, I've definitely changed my opinion on the need to get in a manager ASAP. Two huge games coming up. Four points out of those and we'll have given ourselves a real fighting chance.

Owly Mowly 1,516
I still have an eye on 50 points. Last 2 games have made that a lot more realistic.... 25 points from 20 games 7 wins, 4 draws?
Owly Mowly 1,516
Can’t believe that we actually have 31 points! How on earth have we got there?
CircleSeven 2,695
That’s a pretty darned good performance for an interim manager that’s for sure! No one can say that the players don’t want him in charge! Cant help looking at the table though and thinking that Rooney’s doing pretty well too!

We need to keep picking points up and then wait for the inevitable mid table sides to start dropping down. It’s very much a case of focussing, fighting for every point and seeing where we are in 10 games.
Dronfield Blue 12,423
Thompson has an 80% win ratio in the Championship. Played 5, won 4 lost 1. Not bad.
McRightSide 11,795
I reckon we should just have a series of consecutive caretakers on 10 game contracts. Maximize the honeymoon periods, keeps it fresh and keeps players on their toes. Imagine being an opposite, you couldn’t prepare. You could get rid of season tickets and sell them in 10 game bundles. The Thompson bundle The Weaver bundle The Bullen bundle The Chansiri bundle etc etc It’s the future, I’m sure of it. DC
