Any players at Celtic we could demand in exchange ?

Then again I remember the highly thought if Donnelly & O"Donnell and look how those turned out

Celtic are atrocious at the moment. Putting my ingrained dislike of Celtic aside (even more so than the blunts and Liverpool!) , maybe Leigh Griffiths could do with a new home. Fantastic scoring record, but form has been poor this season.

If he is then his agent has played a blinder getting an offer on table from Celtic to negotiate against

Will also put pressure on him if he doesn't deliver for Wednesday would Celtic pull out of the deal?

He would have to be mental to stay with us.

But then, Wednesday fans are a bit mental.

So here's hoping!!

One things for sure, if he stays and fulfills his promise he would be an absolute legend.

Hopefully this. Nothing wrong with getting another offer to help in negotiations if he really does want to stay. Especially if our initial offer was a bit ******** poor.

Been spending too much time with his schoolmates on Coronation Street to make any impression for the "Scubbers in Hoops" .....

It's always been down to whether SWFC want him, and offer a contract for the Summer on wards that is comparable with his suitors. In this case his agent has made his suitors' interest public 5 months before his contract expires, clearly forcing SWFC to respond.

Whether SWFC had commenced contract discussions with Shaw and his agent before the Celtic interest broke is another thing.

We offered him a contract ages ago, he had a big up turn in prospects with good displays since then though and his agent clearly thought they could and should do better

DC is probably trying to maintain the wage structure of the inder 23 team.

As Shaw is now appearing for the first tean regularly he deserves a first team wage. Maybe a lowish one with regular reviews every few months depending on performance. Maybe you don't want to offer him a big contract right now but there's no reason you can't give him a path showing how he can get there.

Really wouldn't swap a player with 10m+ potential for a player with a body type like Francis Jeffers.

Ended up with biscuits far too often at this club

He's going back to Hibs I think.

Come on Liam

Prove your are one of us by signing a long term deal.

Way better than the chancer Hirst.

hirst got 10k a week off leicester due to pearson and daddy , the lad has done absolutely nothing ,he either will be in league 2 at end of contract or below that . if shaw stays here he might get a grand or 2 less per week but if he believes in his own ability then he would soon get a better contract and so on .if he can get 50 games here then im certain he would get a pay increase . seeing pound signs too early can easily ruin a young player.

He should be on a similar wage to Pelupessy imo.

Funny how rumours become reality on here.

Off to Celtic and turned down an insulting contact here.

Then have to wade through constant rubbish about how we have let a future star leave for peanuts.

So who is a silly Billy 😁
