Why didn’t Paul Cook have a pop back about DC ??  What’s he got to lose? Came across like he was sorry ? Contact  Didn’t go where he had hoped ?

Maybe PC should ring DC if he still wants the job so much

perhaps he has a little more class than Chansiri.

Paul Cook didn’t have a pop back because he’s not an idiot. Why would he, he’s a grown man.

What a load of garbage this post is.

To be fair to the recruitment team it's quite a hard sell.

1: Persuading players at other clubs to sign for us knowing it's possible their wages may be delayed.
2: Persuading other clubs to loan us players when it's throughout the press we've been holding back payments.

Can't imagine it's an easy gig to persuade people to come here over other options.

We are the most unattractive proposition in the league.

The only players we’ve managed to sign are a lad who’s not kicked a ball for 7 months and a returning player who was knocking about in the Cypriot league.

We’re a dead club.

Cook probably has more class than Chansiri and dosnt lower himself to having a mad rant in the media.

Get off your DC defending pedestal for one moment. If Cook was asked the question about DC’s comments, I’m sure he would have answered. He wasn’t asked the question so didn’t bring it up - which shows class.

Again Cook praised the job Thompson was doing. The only person being unprofessional throughout this thing is our chairman. He disgraced himself with his public spat to the media the other day.

It's not exactly open season and we've been above average in the number of deals we've done so far. There has only been £4.5m of confirmed fees paid and the majority of deals are free transfers or loans.

Maybe we can expect 1 more in, probably on loan, but we've already done more business than most.

But if your numbers are correct, then...

  • the average number of deals done so far is 2.1 per club, which doesn't put us above average with 2.
  • only 10 clubs have done fewer than 2 deals, so we haven't done more business than most.

Regardless of some dodgy maths, however - surely the context is what's really important here? Given our league position and the fact we're the division's lowest scorers, we probably do need to be doing more business than most if we're to avoid League One.

Certainly, a reliable centre forward would appear an obvious requirement which hasn't been addressed thus far.

Whether or not the chairman has put us in a position to be able to plug that gap is another matter entirely, of course. We can only spend what we've got, after all.

Hurt who, me? No, not really. You be you! I'm sure all the negative energy you expel fills you and those around you with joy.

Bloke comes on a forum about Sheffield Wednesday and wants fans to pretend everything is rosy and we have loads to shout about.

How strange. It’s possible to be happy and live in reality at the same time mate! You keep being you too.
