Nuhiu not good enough for a side with ambitions of top 6 finish, as evidenced by the fact that no other Championship side came in for him. Similarly Hutchinson in midfield is not the way forward in my opinion. Given our current position and level of performance, I think most people would acknowledge that Nuhiu and Hutchinson (as a centre back) would start most games. Without hindsight that doesn’t make the view taken at the end of last season was wrong, or make the people who held that opinion haters. Think it would have helped if DC would have been open and honest with our supporters about how serious our financial situation was instead of papering over the cracks then we wouldn't have been expecting better replacements for the players that were leaving. Come out now DC and tell us as it is.. If we can't afford a new manager or players then bloody tell us.

I think Marriot and Windass have the potential to get more if we got the team dynamic right. But yeah ideally we would have a big, fast goal scoring striker but some of these suggestions are more in the context that we can’t get that. We certainly don't have a focal point up front but that doesn't necessarily mean it has to be the traditional big forward. A Garry Bannister type would be my choice, obviously easier said than done. Was hoping that Marriot was in that mould but showing no signs that he his.
Yellowbelly
....or a midfield that keeps hold of the ball, builds attacks and provides service to nippy forward players. Sick of the wang it up to the big man rubbish we’ve been forced to accept as the only option.
Rev Owl
Playing two of our 'forwards' together up front in a consistent pairing would help for a start. Paterson and Windass or Paterson and Rhodes Maybe?

Can’t imagine Nuhiu would have been too expensive to keep had we been realistic about our financial predicament and recruitment limitations.

Makes Nuhiu look like an 18 yr old Michael Owen but would prob be a better option up top than we have at the moment , and also a good player to thrown on as a sub . Forgot about him? He gota be over 40 ? But always causes trouble whenever and for whoever he plays for deal till end of season?

It's typically Wednesday that they're are poor for us and world beaters before they come or after they leave. I'd personally like us to pick one particular style e.g. 352 and stick to it and buy players in to suit it.
