They have released a statement that they have placed some of their contracted players that are no longer in the managers plans on furlough. I wonder what PFA have to say about this.

Not quite sure that is in the spirit of using public funds for the intention they have been provided.

From tomorrow national league clubs begin voting on ending the season.

Thing there maybe a separate one for steps 1 and 2.

Be interesting to see which way Chesterfield go.

I'm currently amazed when haven't see league clubs go to the wall, I'm even more amazed non league clubs are still with us.

Furlough is upto a max of £2500 a month I believe, can understand them doing it....not exactly what it's there for mind.

They must be struggling on and off the pitch.

Literally taken zero notice of them, but for some reason a Chesterfield FC article (their official page) popped up in my Facebook newsfeed tonight. They won today, and it says, "This club. This manager. This team. Wow".  With loads of comments about how brilliant they are, going up, we're back, etc.

I assumed they must be flying at the top of the league so I had a look. They're 9th.

Haha tbf since that James Rowe came in I think they’ve only lost three games. It’s quite tight at the top and they’ve a few games in hand, so could easily make play offs. Considering they were down near the bottom when he came in he’s done well.

We will be playing them again in a few years, that is if they don't pass us.

They won't pass us. Might play them in paint pot trophy if they do go up though.

Ha ha yes I agree, all a bit cringey.  Reasonably deserved though, the results are happening and promotion is a definite possibility.  Perhaps you have some idea of when SWFC plan on plugging the hole in your own sinking ship? 😉
