Precisely, so why wouldn't he leave this mess that our club has become.

If he were my kid I’d pack his bags and drive him up there as soon as possible. Absolute no brainer as to where he should be playing.

He'll get cup games and minor ties in Europe at best to start with.

Another factor has got to be how long has Lennon got left? If he gets sacked which must be likely will the next manager want Shaw?

I will be surprised if Lennon could even tell you who Shaw was. He isn't signing players for next season is he after Celtics worse season in living memory he will be gone.

Someone probably would have seen that Exeter game on TV and thought, this lad can do a job. we had better look into him.  As that's the game that put him on the map.

Or he could disappear off the radar like Clare and arguably Hirst

Or he could disappear just as easy if he signs with us. It’s not about how good he is or how good he becomes as There’s very few kids that come through at that age who are destined to be top players.

He looks like a player that can handle senior football. George Hirst for example is a few years older, has played well in youth teams and England etc but you see him on the pitch now and he looks like a teenager playing against men where as Shaw doesn’t. If we don’t have the foresight to plan and keep these kind of players then we are forever going to be spaffing away millions a year in high wages to 30odd year olds who we will never get a penny back from.

Come on mate that’s a silly thing to say.

Can you name 3 positive things about the club right now?

5 home wins in a row

Excellent recent interaction from the community set up

the weather has improved so the efficiency of the boiler wont be an issue!

Gary Penrice is i believe head of scouting at Celtic

Gary Penrice worked with / for Tony Pulis at West Brom and possibly played with him at at Bristol Rovers

Tony Pulis clearly recognised Shaw's potential

The disastrous appointment of Pulis is still damaging this club!

Maybe we could loan him back for the season?

I could see that being an option if he’s not playing immediately. But depending on how recruitment goes in the summer and the league were in, we might be better focusing on players in our academy who we can develop for a real profit. If there are any!

Add to that Mike Trusson, a scout for Celtic FC who Tony Pulis brought in to work with Sheffield Wednesday in November 2020.

True but If Monk knew what he was doing Shaw would have been in the side earlier and would possibly have been offered a better contract earlier.

Shaw is miles in front of Hunt or Dele.

Cant blame Pulis for spotting a proper player.

Monk was a total charlatan
