He will regret going. For all the trouble we're in, he was playing 1st team for us and building a good reputation. He goes up there he's a small fish in a big pond, he won't make first team and will suffer for that.

Maybe, it is a club that consistently cares for it's younger players though. They play enough games domestically and in Europe to allow for a lot of squad rotation. Don't forget half the Scottish league is poo so young lads often come in and do well for Celtic. Maybe he won't break through for a year or two but he's got a good chance up there. Plus they'll probably actually tailor a loan deal that suits his development as they actually care about their young assets.

We aren't even paying senior pros there full wages, I'm sure he'd jump at the chance to sign up for some of that.

He has been paid in full, unless you think he's earning more than £7k pw?

But surely he had to believe he’s good enough to break into the Celtic team and

play in front of 60k, challenging for trophies, playing with better players, and enjoying European football? Who wants players who don’t believe in themselves?!

Worst case is he’ll end up loaned out - probably to someone in better shape than his current employers.

I agree from a footballing side. He will probably end up getting loaned out to get games.

But on the flip side, he will make a fair wack and will actually get paid.

I hope he makes it. Seems like a really nice lad. Wawaw. Good luck matey.

Hmm, maybe, for me I don't see how Shaw can have any gripe with the club, we have brought him through and he's left first chance he's got. It doesn't sit well with me.

I'm not so sure. They need a combative midfield player to replace the aging lunatic Brown.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him in their match day squads in all honesty.

And given that. Or turning out here... unpaid...  in league division 3... being managed by some different  random blokes every 6 months...

No choice to make really.

Only thing that would keep him here would be his heart overruling his head.

Like all the other youth players here you mean who get dropped and disappear or who get slated after a disappointing performance?

No chance

He’s a million times better off at somewhere like Celtic

Utter garbage forward planning from our owner and his advisors. Contract should have been wrapped up before start of this season. We never seem to learn and the few prospects we do bring through walk away for nothing.

100% agree.  For the last couple of years people on here have been saying what a great prospect this lad was. Most normal clubs would have tied him to a longer contract before he broke through to the first team. Unbelievably poor planning, no one seems to have an overview of the club.

Do you know what one of the best and purest things about supporting a football club is?

Seeing a young lad break through into the first team. Even better when he’s a local lad who is Wednesday through and through.

The fact we’ve managed to balls this up without seeing him become a regular player in the team or selling him for good money - tells you all you need to know about Chansiri.

And George Hirst got absolute pelters for wanting out.

DC has turned us into pure poison.

George Hirst might be right to want out but not shaft the club on compensation which could happen again here.
