Bluesteel
If he can make the impact he did when he came back after Jos left then this could be a good move. Going backwards isn’t always the right idea and I wasn’t sure initially for that reason alone. But if he can drive the team forward on and off the pitch that will be worth it. Hes a very likeable guy who clearly has an affinity with the club so it’s good to see him back. As long as he doesn’t go in knee high on someone on Wednesday anyway
Bluesteel
I was also a bit critical when he left and made comments about not wanting to be associated with the losing side. Ideally you’d want him to be demanding to help the team. But it looks like he is back and really keen to do that so good on him.
Guest LondonOwl313
I can’t believe there are so many posters on here who don’t think he’s a good player. Good to see him back and will add something, and by then sounds of it most of the cost is only incurred by playing games
SiJ
Whatever you say about him, there's no denying the fact he's got a shed load of charisma and personality. Probably part of the reason why he either hits it off with managers or ends up clashing with them. I'm relatively positive on this one having mulled it over. He's as good, if not better than the other options for the defensive midfield role. Edited January 25, 2021 by SiJ

WalthamOwl
Think I would rather have him as manager than Thompson!

TheEnchanter
To be fair, all being said in terms of the negativity surrounding this transfer, he will give his all and has the experience and club knowledge to create a good impact here over the remainder of the season. We are in such a hole even after the positivity of the last month. We need every help we can get.

It might not last of course. But I'd take that form till the end of the season! 4

Pathos was an experience but with Covid travel restrictions etc , the family being in England it was tough Didn't think he'd be back at Hillsborough in this capacity Raring to get going "Some people might think I'm a bad egg, I'm not obviously, or the club wouldn't have had me back!" Thommo is good. He knows everyone inside out, knows all the players. Knows how the club works and obviously I know him from my little spell in the U23s (cheeky Grin) Incentive based deal. Best interests to play. Saw some of the lads at the weekend, positive reaction and made me realise it's the right decision Not played for 6 weeks, but is fit and ready to play. Wants to bring a bit of positivity and a laugh and joke to the dressing room.

sternlad
Think this is a bit of a gamble regards injuries but you’ve got to admit he brings a shed load of character, experience, enthusiasm and ability to the team. As Chris Kirkland said he is a leader on the pitch and in the dressing room and he should lift the lads morale. It’s easy to see how he may have not appreciated Monk’s tactics and probably told him so in no uncertain terms. He makes three of Pelupessy and he will run further than the 30yd diameter circle that Joey does every match. I hope he has a positive influence on the others in the squad.
