Everton - V - Wednesday *FA CUP* omdt

Recommended Posts

Positives-

Green

Urgi

Brennan

Negatives -

Brown

Set piece defending

Zero threat in second half.

But putting things into perspective. Everton are a very good team. And had £185m out on that pitch. Levels.. We are light years away from that.

im not sure we had much of winning th cup so i think this is a good result.

Yes, true.

We've got more pressing matters to worry about than a cup we've no chance of winning.

And anyway, we like a good defeat on Owlstalk.

Which is just as well.

Appreciate you admitting you couldnt dig yourself out of the whole you got yourself into...by thinking I was talking about the third goal, not the second.

You blamed him for all three.

That's fair enough.

That's your point of view.

Both headers were more or less uncontested, standing jumps in the middle of the 6 yard box. Forget the opposition, no team should concede goals like that.

Having said that, we haven’t hit a corner like either of those two in three seasons. Surely. Surely, we have someone who can put a corner in like that? One in two or three?

In the first half, when Bannan and Reach had outlets in Harris and Green, they looked motivated and we played nice football. Had no real issues with the first half as i wouldn't expect that cobbled together back three to be organised. It was chaos at the back and we clung on. At least we tried to play and create with the ball on the floor.

The second half was absolute dogshit. They are much better than us but we just stopped trying - until Izzy Brown came on, tried his absolute hardest to affect the game for five minutes and then completely died on his arse. After that five minutes he was that fat lad who plays for your pub team who does five step overs then falls face first into the mud.

Galvin, Urgohide, Penney and Green all did well.

Pelupessy was gash.

Brown's movement is OK but his touch and final ball are dung.

Kadeem Harris much better on the right but I'd use him on the right of a back 4 as he struggles to put a cross in.

Thought pelupessy broke up play on a few occasions and did alright didn't think he was that bad

Could have been worse

Thought the young players acquitted themselves well again

Borner at fault for two goals

Joey bless him , what’s to say

Might as well give the gig to Thompson for the rest of the season at least he understands what our players are capable of

You'd think it's the sort of thing that could easily be practised in training, yet we can't seem to deliver them  as you rightly point out.
