Maybe Keane and DC would get on. He couldn’t possibly be any worse than Pulis or Monk Vincent Tan calmed down a bit from the early days to be fair to him. Took a bit more of a backseat and appointed a CEO to help run the club.

Pulis said he’d be honest with the chairman and how did that end? Be a disastrous appointment Keane would be sacked after the first training session. Would be scrapping with hutch and westy

mogbad
I can just see it now. DC: "I want you to be honest with me Roy". RK: "You're a useless c**t & shouldn't be anywhere near a football club". DC: Bye Roy. 2
FearlessOwl
He seems pretty content doing his punditry. His comments from his high horse are pretty entertaining sometimes too I think he only said he was interested in management again is due to the celtic job potentially being available soon. Can't see him taking a job that requires actual work

It does matter though, as similar will probably happen again if he brings in another experienced manager who refuses to take his sh*t. Similar to the way that Bruce wanted out as soon as possible once he realised what he was dealing with, too. What we think of Pulis is irrelevant, really. There's no reason not to believe what Chansiri said about Pulis. Why make up a load of stuff about his character when he could easily have just sacked him for being absolutely dog. Which he was. Absolute total and utter turd. 2

DC arks on about just wanting someone who will be honest with him, Keane will be as honest with him as it gets. Commands respect, contacts in the game and knows his stuff. Id love Roy Keane here as manager. No chance, great sky pundit and knows his stuff but easier said than done, contacts in the game mean nothing, money talks these days, I very much doubt his man management skills too. Maybe because he felt personally affronted by Pulis' refusal to engage with his 'football advisor'. His half-hour character assassination went way beyond professional norms, didn't it? Almost as if Chansiri felt disrespected and was determined to have his revenge on Pulis? The sacking wasn't about Pulis' performance as manager, as you say.
NeonLeon
Keane completely spoiled the reputation he’d built up at Sunderland when he went to Ipswich. Just alienated loads of players and couldn’t grasp that they weren’t as good as his Sunderland team. So much so he signed loads of his old players from Sunderland for more, which he’s admitted since, than they were worth.

The sacking wasn't about Pulis' performance as manager, as you say. It was a combination of Pulis' inability to get anything out of the squad, woeful football and even worse results. His half-hour character assassination actually leads me to believe Chansiri rather than Pulis. Maybe Chansiri didn't want to engage with the dreadful list of players that Pulis had concocted?

matthefish2002
I like Roy Keane as a pundit and his dry humour. People call Sam Hutchinson a warrior never saw Roy Keane, he was a colossus of a player. Does not have a terrible record as a manager or a very good one either. Just don't think he would have man management skills to be a success at Wednesday and we would be looking for another boss before fans are let back in.

Sefton owl
When was the last time he was in management? His name always seems to be in the hat every time a championship manager gets sacked yet never ends up in a job. He seems pretty content on sky sports, although micah Richards would probably disagree
swinners
Chansiri would have melt down when the pundits on TV called us Roy Keane's Sheffield Wednesday!!! Imagine his face??
Morepork
DC was talking out of his @rse. He doesn't want honesty, he wants a lap dog. Someone who will take what's given to him without questioning it. Keane is the polar opposite of that. It's looking pretty clear now that we are probably going to entrust what could be the remainder of the most pivotal season in our history to NT. That's almost certainly because the candidates willing to work under a combination of our position and DC's batsh!t craziness are extremely limited......

Why do we want to play attacking football? We never did under Monk..... When our inexperienced, naive, appallingly advised Chairman who is bereft of any emotional intelligence whatsoever is discussed, I seriously worry about the future of our club. When our supporters ambition sinks to the level of, “it’s ok as long as it’s no worse than Monk “ I despair
