DJMortimer
I remember that thanks to our cup exploits for most of that season we'd actually beaten more top flight opponents than the pigs had when they were playing them every week. Should we beat Everton tomorrow (not expecting much to be honest) we can match them in that regard again.
Kendo Nagasaki
What a fantastic night, we played Coventry off the park and the support was magnificent, BFR barmy army echoed round the stadium non stop, wow 30 years
FreshOwl
Always find it amazing how footage from only 30 years ago looks so old It’s like the click of a finger and things started to look modern with HD etc

Birstall Owl
We had tickets in the home end, but the car broke down on the day of the game so remember listening on the radio and checking Teletext for updates

BIG D
We ended up in a boozer with loads of Wednesday fans, there was a live band on and they ended up playing Singing The Blues. Fantastic
jamiejohn
We played superbly that night and should have won with ease. I always remember after the game a Coventry fan came bounding over towards us looking quite menacing only to tell us we were the best team they had played that season and to go on and win it. Oh for those days again
September65
Was in the home end. I think I remember Hirsty bossing Terry Butcher. Could that be right?
sexpistol
I was there. Brilliant night. It was bloody freezing ( it was Jan mind) I can remember some miserable fool complaining that “I haven’t paid to see your arms waving all match” I politely suggested he move. I was in the home end as well, stood behind the goal. You’re right, Horst bossed everyone that night, was magnificent
hasthagotanycheese
Was there that night, can still remember it seemed like 3 of the 4 stands were reverberating to chants of barmy army for the whole 90 minutes. What a team Atkinsons 90-91 side were.

sexpistol
Butcher did play that evening. I believe it was his last appearance playing for Coventry it was also David Speedies last appearance for Coventry prior to moving to Liverpool.
torryowl
i have it in my mind that we made a goal line clearance that was somewhat dubious ....

Guest Bulgaria
One of my favorite SWFC memories. The barmy army chant was breath taking.
Watto
Great night , the league cup then meant so much more than it does now , hence why it felt like something really special to get to the semi final. Remember thousands of us being there and at the time we were a very good side.
