A couple I've not seen mentioned but both were excellent:

Wilf Smith and Tommy Craig

Scrolled down to see if Tommy got a mention, bit disappointed I wasn't the first, but even more disappointed it took 4 pages before my boyhood hero got a mention.

Well done Ray.

Avoiding the obvious players like Nilsson and Walker I’d chuck in..

Phil King

Viv Anderson

Chris Bart-Williams

I remember Bart-Williams getting quite a lot of stick 94-95 season.

Well done Ray.

I remember the Santos game where Tommy was stuck to Pele for the last 10 minutes and as soon as the whistle blew exchanged shirts.

One of the best left footers I've seen.

Emerson Thome

Miguel Llera

Graham Coughlan

Lee Bullen

JP Mcgovern

Chris Brunt

Steve Maclean

Kenwyne Jones

Ben Marshall

Kieran Lee

Des Walker

Matt Hamshaw

Seems a fairly safe list

He was simply too good for us at the time, often wondered if he regretted the move.

Chris Brunt certainly got a fair amount of stick at times and bizarrely there were an odd few who said MacLean was nothing more than a penalty taker.

Yeah I guess so. I’m thinking more that they are liked now
