Yes, I was there.

Away end sold out so I went behind goal with Burnley fans. Loads of Owls in.  Bit scary.  Lots of fighting just before kick off   Police led a thousand or so of our fans round to away end. I stayed, and kept my mouth shut.

Would sooner remember the replay. 5-0 to us.

Went in a transit van . about 20 in it .

Stopped in Todmorden for beer  - Tithe barn was one of the pubs .

Swapped tickets for the open home end , lasted on there about 5 mins got chased and punched down to the pitch

On the pitch with hundreds of others . Jack Charlton asked us to get off.

Stopped at Elland on way back .

Yes I was there only a teenager back then we went on the intercity owl and we were on the away end ,

Before and during the game it was kicking off on the home end regularly owls fans gathered together in the middle of their kop to keep the locals at bay after a large group had been moved around the pitch,

the train lost a few windows on the way home but the home game was completely different with one of the biggest crowds I’ve seen on the kop the away fans were virtually nonexistent,

great times!

We were sat on the home end opposite their kop. The wednesday section was packed to the rafters to our left. Trouble kicked off on their kop when Wednesday fans were being let out, after most had got on to the pitch the Burnley fans started attacking the last few leaving so Wednesday fans turned back with quiet a few going back on to their kop to help them out.

I was there and remember it v well i was with the thousands in the away end on the half way line if you go on you tube you can see highlights from it and the amount of wednesday there too i say 10.000 total

it was so packed

there were fights kicking off on the home end before and during was a lot in all areas .

it was very tense there after the game was a bit bad too .i had to go down a few back streets as the mini bus was parked the other side of the ground and lots of trouble kicked off then .

was great when we scored and an amazing atmosphere will we ever gets those days back like that !

i doubt it

I was there too. On the away end and it was ridiculously full. Proper crushed.

There were loads of wednesday ites on that open end. Police moved about 1000 owls on to where we were and i remember thinking how the hell will they get another 1000 in here.

Unbelievable disregard for safety in those days. The atmosphere was brilliant tho. I think they got a penalty in tge first minute which bolder saved.

The 5 nil replay was one of the geatest ive witnessed. Ive never seen the goals as i dont think cameras were there which is bizarre considering it was quarter final.

Grsat days indeed

The semi was one of the best yet also saddest days of watching wednesday too

Our coach had broken down and we arrived late, only to be met with pitch full of supporters and total chaos. To be honest, it was the norm in that era.

I was there what a day.

The away allocation sold out in days so a lot of lads drove over to Burnley and got tickets for the Burnley end. Just after kick off the chant went up and the Wednesday fans tried to get together. As earlier comment Wednesday fans were escorted off....myself included....then tried to get back in to help the lads left on.

The reply really stands out what a crowd and in those days no roof over kop got wet through and took my then girl friend who was a blade she was not happy.

Please please Chansiri make the right choice so I can enjoy days like this again.

There ground looks just the same now. What a shithole. All that Prem money and they can’t upgrade from that!

Went to the replay, you just knew the attendance was going to be massive by the queues outside the Kop with minutes to go to the kick off.
