Here he is then, our new manager, available and can start tomorrow.

Finally a managerial candidate I can give my wholehearted support too!

Pretty sure he has a contract with ‘Victorian Plumbing’ as well so could hopefully sort out the North Stand bogs!

Nobody seems to want to answer what I have put in numerous threads.

If Cook is so good. Why have Watford, Derby, Nottingham Forest, West Brom, us the first time around and Barnsley not snapped him up already this season.

Watford tend to only work with foreign managers. Forest went down the Hughton, "he always does a good job" line. West Brom went with a logical option in Big Sam and Barnsley see Watford.

Derby are the only ones I'd say who would have looked at Cook but with their situation I doubt they will make any appointment until they know who will be running the show.

Hopfully Quist will not mind me re-posting the content of his summary of the Wigan Athletic suad assemble last season by Paul Cook and his team:

f we do appoint Cook as manager and I hope we do. I agree with what another poster has said in that Cook does not rely on an entourage. These were all recruited whilst Cook was manager.

Having said this Wigan are in loads of trouble but they do have excellent scouting system and youth policy and if we could nab key members of this set up it would be good business.

This season those they have had to sell include;

Keifer Moore,  Centre forward Cardiff

Antonee Robinson, Right back Fulham

Sam Morsy Midfield Middlesboro

Cedric Kipre Centre back West Brom

Jamal Lowe Right Winger Swansea

Nathan Byrne Right Back Derby

Windass and Dunkley to us.

In addition youth players

Joe Geldhart centre forward Leeds

Sam Devine midfield Tottenham scored in FA Vup for them on Saturday

Jensen Weir midfield Brighton

Kyle Joseph Tottenham have £150,000 bid in for this young teenage centre forward

Sam McGurk Leeds have undisclosed bid in for this 17 year old attacking midfield player.

Somebody is obviously doing something right on recruitment and development.
