Chris Coleman steams towards favourite for new manager

Recommended Posts

To be honest, my view is that we may as well stick with Thompson until the end of the season.  Chances are we are unlikely to sign any players this window and at least he knows the players and set up.

I appreciate that DC is damned if he does appoint him and damned if he doesn’t but it is part and parcel of being the owner.  Let’s not make a rash decision and live to regret it.

If this is true, then I abandon any hope that Chansiri has actually learned from his mistakes.

Nothing at all against Chris Coleman, but his managerial career is hugely uninspiring.

Perhaps most worrying, he joined Sunderland mid-season, was given no budget in the January transfer window, had to make do with a bunch of loanees, and the season ended in relegation. Can anyone else see a precedent?

Beat me to it - was about to say the very same.

Surely theres a lucrative job he can take in China or somewhere ffs

If ever there was a bloke who is made for a lucrative gig in the Middle East or China it's Coleman...

He's got carpet bagger written all over him.

I bet his golf partner is Sven Goran Erikson.
