jonnyowl
Kieran Westwood Jordan Rhodes Barry Bannan Adam Reach Kadeem Harris Moses Odubajo Ella's Kachunga Joey Pelupessy Tom Lees Joost Van Aken Matt Penny Liam Shaw Osaze Urhoghide Matt Penny Ciaran Brennan Josh Render Ben Hughes Liam Waldock All the above are out of contract at the end of the season according transfermarkt. That would leave us with Chey Dunkley Dominic Iorfa Julian Borner Liam Palmer Callum Paterson Massimo Luongo Fisayo Dele Bashiru How are we supposed to build a team with an identity and challenging at the right end of the pitch when so many players are out of contract? I really fear that next season will be even worse that this season, no faith in DC to build a squad with any quality. Just another example of how poorly this club is run. Just can't see then replacing key players. So who would you keep and who do you think will actually stay. I'd keep Reach, Bannan Lees amd the youngsters, Shaw, Hunt, Brennan and Urhogide. I think the the youngsters might stay, Reach,Bannan and Lees will be off!

WUGGAMONKEY1
Windass too? Assuming he doesn’t leave. Thought Borner was signed for only 2 years? Edited January 10, 2021 by WUGGAMONKEY1
Hitcat
Poor Matt Penney, can't get in the team and he's out of contract twice.

SallyCinnamon
It is a bit of a mess. Lets hope DC has the money to fund a rebuild. The players out of contract get slagged off (Bannan, Lees, Reach, Odubajo, Pelupessy, Westwood for example) but we will do very well to replace them with better. To do so we have to spend a bit of money. Meanwhile will the players be paid on time for December?

torryowl
its a tough question .....some you wouldnt be offering new contracts to no matter what but theres some we'd probably like to but cant afford to offer them the same terms that theyve been on ......big changes coming but we arnt the only club with this problem and theres going to be a lot of players who come next summer are looking for a contract .trick is finding the right ones to sign and what you pay them ....... Jim
The crucial thing is staying up. Whatever division we’re in next season will probably determine how big the rebuild will be? I’m expecting a lot of the senior pros to leave regardless of what division we’re in.

Rogers
I’ll hazard a guess that we’ll replace the 18 with 10 lower quality cheaper players.

Sure he said he’d only come to England for a couple of years and he’d probably be going back after. Be shocked if he’s still here next season and not back in Germany.
CircleSeven
Next season is going to be very, very tough as we try to rebuild from what is looking like being a mass exodus in the summer. Hopefully we’ll still be in the Championship but either way staying up or chasing promotion if we go down is going to be hard work. Truth is though we need to try a different approach because the last one certainly didn’t work! We have to get our heads around if not being fully sustainable as a club at least running on minimal losses. Developing younger players or bringing players up from the leagues below and selling when appropriate to make some money to pay for a few quality players has to be something we at least try! Rogers
Nothing like wetting the new managers appetite like re-building a whole squad with no money. They'll be fighting to take over.

A different approach from signing players who are crocked, overpaid, won't be played, aren't very good, won't be sold, won't go up in value, and don't improve the squad?
