THE RIVERSIDE CAFE (and bar upstairs too!)
A favourite of Sheffield Wednesday office staff at lunchtime, The Riverside is great
They do a fantastic all day breakfast that is sadly totally ruined by using the worst most horrific sausages known to man
If you're reading Riverside - please please PLEASE for the love of god change your sausages (even if you have to put the prices up)

The toast is AMAZING - hand cut thick sliced proper bread

Love this place!

But they need to change their sausages

I hope they change their sausages

I really hope they change their sausages

The Four Lanes Chip Shop

You'll find it very hard to pass the Four Lanes Chippy without a queue outside it waiting to go in. I'm not talking about matchdays here I'm talking about any time it's open
It's always packed and extremely popular

The Four Lanes Chippy on Leppings Lane has been serving hungry Wednesday fans for years and is a firm favourite

Chippy across from weatherspoons.

There was some nice food places near Hillsbro park on Middlewood Road selling wraps but they closed pretty quickly.

The Riverside Chip Shop on Langsett Road Hillsborough Corner
Further away this one and situated opposite Wetherspoons in Hillsborough this one is a hidden gem and usually busy with shoppers

HOONG TOO. - The gravy is excellent surprised by the OP for showing good taste for once.  The only trouble with the gravy is that it's all too easily split in the throbbing massed ranks of  Wednesday fans outside the shop, so I go for the safer option of the mushy peas which could never be split in a month of Sundays.

The battered sausage comes highly recommended as well and once became a feared weapon when fighting off Barnsley fans but that's another story.

THE PROUD POTATO
For the more middle class amongst the Wednesday fanbase the Proud Potato on Middlewood Road is their usual haunt

Everything from a baked potato with cheese and beans, through to a delicious chicken curry these potatoes are amazing, creamy soft on the inside, and expensive enough to ensure that the working classes are kept out as the posher fans get to stand in there looking out at the poor people going to get their chips and scraps.

If you can afford it it's genuinely amazing
