Well it's some great experience for those young lads we've had to pick today.

Out there on the park playing against proper men. Experienced footballers..

Will have done them the world of good. And those coaches watching them.

Wildsmith

Odubajo    Brennan  Shaw   Galvin

Reach    Hunt    Pelupessy  Bannan  Harris

Paterson

Of course. You need your experience. Bannan was busy as hell. Odubajo has hit a bit of a purple patch.

But...

Who was you man of the match?

Enjoyed the second half. I thought the young lads  at the back struggled a bit with Exeter physicality for the first 25 minutes. They grew into the game after that and expressed themselves a bit in the second half.  I think the senior players did themselves credit today with some good performances - got the young lads through it.

Shaw was pretty immense really, shame for him that we have so many centre halves, he deserves more game time.

I'm giving it Galvin... Not easy to make your debut in a tricky cup game on a bobbly pitch but he started off well and got better, seemed to have a natural instinct to want to play forward.

Shaw was obviously excellent but we know what he's capable of.

Shaw with Galvin a very close second.

Shaw edged it with the assist, but I enjoyed watching the confidence of Galvin to take on his man and get up the pitch. Brilliant debut.

He's good enough to play in midfield but nice to know he can fit in anywhere in defence as well

A vet professional performance after a tough week.

Wildsmith 6 nothing to do. Needs to command area

Odubajo 7 solid

Brennan 6 did ok but seems a bit of a donkey to me

Shaw 9 outstanding. Brilliant run for the second goal too

Galvin 7 awful first 15 minutes then excellent after that. I’d like to see more of him

Reach 7 quiet but an extra point for the outstanding finish

Pelupessy 6 defensively ok...just don’t give him the ball

Bannan 8 makes us tick

Hunt 4 he’s like a ghost. Does nothing

Harris 5 worked hard but end product is getting worse

Paterson 6 like in other games, awful but scored again!

Dele-Bashiru 7 did well. Much better than Hunt

Well done boys!

Shaw

Others did well but not even close.

At one point he won the ball breaking up an attack and did a balletic twirl that would be on Sky repeat if Rashford did it before pinging a pinpoint crossfield ball into an attacking position.

20million right there I tell thi!
