striker 8,057
It all seems a bit surreal, at best would have been a reserve team, now likely to be a youth team...a long away trip and £25 to watch on BT for a fixture which seems to be a waste of time. So much for the magic of the cup. Will be good experience for those anticipated to play, at least we can then concentrate on the league.
Owls_fan_since_1983 1,104
Sooner Wednesday stop up in the championship next season. Exeter City 2 Sheffield Wednesday 1 Sheffield United probably end up winning and go on the win the cup whilst getting relegated
REDOWL 3,243
Morning all. Great thread as always and I recall the early days mentioned by M'Lord and Nev with some nostalgia. That was back in the day when if we drew on the Saturday the replay was the following Tuesday/Wednesday at 7.30pm. The Mighty Owls to win today because we are Wednesday and nowt else matters.

Just to stand on a corner and watch them go past is delightful. They don't walk. At least not what we do when we walk. I don't know how to describe it, but it's much more complex and utterly delightful. They don't move just their feet; everything moves and in different directions . . . and all of it graceful." Flat Owl 6,234
Top OMDT Snoots. Would have been at this one in normal times standing 5 deep on that few set of steps they call a terrace. Bummed 5-1 last time with the best we had. Bummed again this time with all we have. But I won’t be ‘betterly’ disappointed as a coach wearing make up would say...

Geedee 2,341
I always want us to put our best team possible out for cup games, football is about memories and the best memories come from playing the big clubs and the only way we get to play a big club at the moment is to play them in the cup and to have a chance of that we need to dispatch Exeter
