Just a question who would you go for? I’ve said cook cus I honestly believe he’ll leave us in a better position than he find us in? Never wanted pulis and monk did wot he done at other clubs ? Start well then run out of ideas? Cook although your right hasn’t managed in the championship a lot got Wigan playing football we ain’t seen for 2/3 seasons? A lot of the players he had there bought for small fees gone for big money?

To but honest mate I'm not enthused about any of the names mentioned. We could all probably come up with more negatives than positives for all of them. I guess it's a reflection of where DC has put the club. My gut feeling & nothing else says go foreign but our current position tells me now isn't the time. Cook may prove to be the best for our current position but they all leave me a bit "meh".

If you had put in £150million into Sheffield Wedmnesday FC would you put your faith in a guy who is 62 and never been a Manager in his life?

Seems like a good guy but lose a couple and it could all fall horribly apart.

Sounds exactly the sort of thing Chansiri would do

is there any club out there who would be in total silence regards a new manager? we aint had one for 2 weeks now ,how long does it take? if you remember monk that tooks weeks as well , we got pulis and he didnt have a single member of staff either . would chansiri let some complete nobody come and not have any coaching staff with him? its that serious this that if it aint sorted this week and allow 3-4 players to come in then this club is very likely to be in either league 1 or 2 for several years , remember there is no such thing as a big club in league 1 or 2 due to wage cap.

Why we need a CEO.

Advisors against it? Think he will go foreign?

Not easy at moment. Brexit and Covid have changed things. Rules are specific and it means foreign coach will be unable to bring back up team. For example when CC was appointed neither him nor any of contingent would have got a work permit. The ones who would qualify usually have something of reputation and would a contract until end of season with possible option for further entice them. Remember travel home will be difficult with certificate probably required before going and coming back to country. Think advisors thought they had group lined up for job but fell flat. Cook outsider has said will take job to end of season, you could see from betting market the advisors were making one last push to get one of their men in. However these were lame ducks and DC will not want to appoint two lame ducks in a row. Wins have given him thinking time, and closure of training ground mean nothingcould happen until Wednesday. Cook and Thompson most likely. Have seen Roy Keane price shorten but can not see him wanting this set up.

Almost mid way through the transfer window with no manager whilst we are desperate for signings. We also have an experienced manager wanting the job that most of the league would probably take who we’ll probably overlook for a foreign manager at the last minute.

It’s all very typical Wednesday.

Appointed someone from abroad who is isolating until after the Coventry match, to be revealed next weekend....as if

Like you said if Cook was the man he’d be appointed by now. There’s been a hold up somewhere.

Maybe he wasn’t in the running until late last week.
Maybe DC saw the positive response to the rumours about cook and now they’re in discussions slowed down by covid and the recent lockdown .

wishful thinking maybe..

Looks like Cook was the next Rowett after all.

Youd think if he wanted it and we were keen that would be it.

Clearly back up to another.

I dread to think who! None of the other names imo are anywhere up to the standard of Cook, especially the unknown foreign ones heavily linked.

DC needs to think about his investment of £150 million.

Pual Cook in the opinion of many is the best way of saving some of that investment by staying in the Championship.

Relegation to League One will wipe out £150m at a stroke.

Or at least the wipe out the last 15p of value that Chansiri has failed to destroy already...if he’s looking for his £150m he doesn’t need PC he needs a miracle from JC.
