A lot to say for that, it's what made pulis' a car crash in of an appointment.

Agree.  Pulis was always a marmite choice with his defensive style / pragmatism of trying to stay in the division.  We’ve perhaps seen since his departure that we have a chance of staying up being a bit more adventurous.  We all know whoever is appointed has a difficult job.  Just hope it is the right appointment.  We really can’t afford to get this wrong.

No certainlies in life but honestly believe he is perfect for us.

Knows league inside and out, plays good positive football, and think will be a positive influence on club, know a couple of Wigan fans who said he brought a real togetherness into the club.

Don't understand comments some are making about hid football being dour or negative, he legit has habit of playing wingers at full back

Not against this appointment if it goes ahead it would quite suit where we are as a club. This is not a dig but lots of people keep talking about his record getting teams promoted Chesterfield, Portsmouth and Wigan had all just been relegated so a certain amount of quality for that division was already present and had a very attractive budget for the relative division Yes he needed to unify the club etc. but this will be his 1st job for a long time where there is little to build on, hopefully the budget this window for the team to improve is helpful.
Don’t really know what to think anymore about any appointment we make just hope all the optimism is founded.

Apparently nearly every game of his two and a half years in charge of Wigan he played 4-2-3-1 with a big mobile striker up top, a left back and a striker would presumably be top of his wanted list this month. Also think this formation will suit Reach,Harris, Windass,Kachunga and Brown way more than what we currently play with those 5 fighting it out for the 3 places behind a front man.

Looks like Alan BIggs' Paul Cook campaign is going to succeed.

Odds collapsing on Cook now odds on.

Good appointment IMO wanted him when Monk was sacked

How the feck is appointing a lower league manager who has never managed above Championship level a good appointment.

It's not like he is an up coming manager.

Seriously underwhelming appointment but then again what decent manager would want to work under this nut job.

Best appointment in my opinion. If this was pre season, I’d be tempted to go down the foreign route but he has to hit the ground running. Much easier to do that with someone who already knows the players and league.
