Pure lip service.

In these times I think they should strip the coaching team right back, manager, assistant, physio, something like that.

I don't know why on earth they're allowed 9 subs either at the moment? Bizarre

Id take 15 players max . No rule saying u need 20 players. Who is paying for 3 coaches and extra hotel rooms? The less what go the better.

And then get together in separate changing rooms, with zones on pitches (Def, Mid, Att) where each group forms a bubble with team mates but also with the relevant opposition (Def-Att, Mid-Mid, Att-Def).

Dear EFL,

Thank You for your latest COVID directive about the need to take three coaches to Exeter.

We shall be sending Neil Thompson, Lee Bullen, and Nicky Weaver because we’ve sacked all the others. Due to EFL FFP rules, we can’t afford to sign any others either.

Regards

Am I the only one reading it and thinking it sounds sensible. When you’re on a coach it’s a confined space with air being recycled via the air conditioning. The more spaced out you are the less chance of infecting someone else if one of them has it despite the negative test.

When they’re on the field of play quite often they’re two metres apart, obviously not always when they challenge for the ball though. And it’s out in the open air so less chance of transmission.

This isn’t about eliminating the risk of transmission, the only way to do that is to cancel the game and stay at home. It’s about reducing the risk as much as possible while still playing the games.

At the end of the day only 1% of people under 40 require hospital treatment, and most of those are unfit or have underlying issues. This mass hysteria has to stop and we should look at the facts. There’s more chance of the coach crashing on the way back from the game and them dying than there is of them dying of Covid

Windass is often 50 yards from a team mate in games...

if its for risk mitigation make them drive themselves in full kit straight to ground and reduce need for a hotel / changing room.

Well yeah that would reduce it further.. but guessing they’ve been advised that 8 people (or whatever the number is) across a full coach is low enough risk

I hope Greta and her eco-warriors don't catch on, they'll be barracading themselves across the training ground to force us on to one coach. Emma Thompson is flying in first class from LA to lead the protest.....

(joke btw for clarity)

(She's flying from New York)

It's fine. The coaches are powered by electricity not diesel.

(PS Anyone got three spare 250 mile long power cables each with a 13A plug?)
