We just never seem to pick any of these up at all or even seem in the running for them.

Chansiri should by now understand that if we really are not a big club, we should start signing talent before they become too big for us. We are still trying to sign players who've already made their mark, or at least have established them in the Championship level.

He has improved but he is still way off. Someone posted above when Hunt left the problem we had then was that Palmer was the weak link in the team at RB. After this the rest of the team decreased in quality and now we have bigger problems which is true. But Palmer is still a problem. Just coz we have bigger ones doesnt mean we shouldnt be addressing it.

Totally disagree.

Palmer has come on leaps and bounds since then and is now a full international.

His performances at left back, an unnatural position for him have been as good as any left back we have had play there since Pudil left.

He's probably still trying to work out how many players you can have on the pitch at one time.

Do you think it hinders us our "big club mentality?"

I think it does, don't think our fans are patient enough for these signings even if we did get them.

Barnsley have just sent back Matty James to Leicester and he's signed for Cov on loan till the end of the season, the reasoning behind it is that the manager says they've basically picked up enough points this far to survive in the league so he's going with the youngsters like Styles to give them the experience for the future.

It's easier for teams like Preston, Barnsley and Brentford to do this model with no disrespect to them because they're smaller teams with less expectations but you look at the players they've all produced and sold on and it blows us out of the water.

24 year old captain of Crewe - Right Back.

Really like this lad. Been very good last 2 years, out of contract in the summer and Cardiff have just made a bid. We have Odubajo who is improving and Palmer who isnt good enough why arent we looking at a player like this. Leadership qualities that we lack and young enough to progress to a really good player.

Because we dont have a sound recruitment team, just charletons draining the club.

Palmer isnt good enough?? for what?

I hardly think RB is our burning issue at the moment

Couldn’t agree more.

Id scrape together every penny we can and buy/loan one or two out and out healthy proven strikers and an experienced Championship keeper.

We have ok to good options elsewhere. Our strikers are dreadful.

I don't think we can blame the recruitment team. They are taking unnecessary flak, it's just the easy option to blame them.

In reality it's much deeper than the recruitment team. They just do as they're told.

We have got advisors who are fighting to bring their players in vs our recruitment team who are sounding out players themselves.

The recruitment team usually are under instructions from the manager of what type of player he wants in, firstly we have no manager, so what are the recruitment scouting for?

Chansiri recently said we already have a shortlist of players and have already made contact with them, this is without a manager, So who these players are and who's list they're coming off remains to be seen.

Chansiri also said things will be different from the first season (under Carlos) they worked with the coach more on transfers, he now says this is going to change.

So we've got people working against each other, advisors want to bring in their players and the recruitment team don't get a say on that.

It all seems counter productive.

I've always wondered how you say this kid's name

Is it like a stuck in your throat sound like the last two letters of a word ending in -ing?

Is it literally "en-gee"?

Is it a typo on his birth certificate?

I've heard good things, Blackburn keeping tabs on him. Do we even look at these types of players?

There is one thing, the recruitment team will know about these players. The advisors won't want to sign these players as they have their own contacts and circles.

Who will Chansiri listen to?

Yes i get what youre saying, its just frustrating that we have made so many bad/costly acquisitions, bottom line is we need a strong manager to give everyone some direction, or is that true cause i thought they were Pulis strong points and look what happened with him?

He gets mentioned often on an EFL podcast and they call him en-gee
