Take with pinch of salt

Not that I'm against the move, but with this and reportedly allowing Windass to leave, we're going to need one hell of a transfer window...we looked light up front, even with these two (admittedly Rhodes hardly plays)

Thank you mate, I trust you had a good day (COVID restrictions permitting)?

I’m just up, I’ve taken two days iff work, and my wife is making me a bacon, egg, and mushroom sarny, so a good start to a relaxing day hopefully. I see things are now moving for us in the transfer market? By the end of today, Wily will have got me two new strikers and you a new goalie and left back.

lol

Wonder if the lad Jephcott at Plymouth will attract much interest this window. Scored 12 goals so far this season for Plymouth.

Luke Jephcott, only 20 YO, lots of clubs looking at him, be suprised if we were one though!

Same with Harry Pickering at Crewe hes got brilliant stats, again we wont be picking him up, Brentford or Barnsley will be way ahead of us

Pickering is a good, cultured left back and dead ball specialist.

There are 3 or 4 more players at Crewe worth taking a look at, non more than their captain Perry NG who can play both RB and CB. Hard working player who is comfortable on the ball and leads by example. Certainly type of character we need at this club.

I’m not convinced Chansiri does either, to be fair

Loanees tend to be exactly whats required but for whatever reason, it's not clicked for them.

We should have got more out of Onomah, Flint, Marriott, Brown, Bates, Wickham, Lazaar & Aarrons

Only Hector and Lopez spring to mind, when thinking about successful loan spells

Nonsense, there are Plenty of good players desperate for a chance to play Championship football who wouldn't cost much or are available for Free.

It is our scouting that is miserably failing to identify such players and bring them to the club.

This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ in spades.

We are decades behind other football clubs in this respect.

Sounds great. My wife did a full English for me and then played football with my son all day as his club was having a dads v kids day ( no major restrictions here yet in Kagoshima) so yeah it was nice. No drinking party though for obvious reasons.

Wigan are worth a look too. Lots of players out of contract.

Kyle Joseph turned down transfer in summer as wants to play. Tottenham just bid £150,000 for him. he scored hat trick against Burton last week. With Covid transfer fees will be much reduced and lotsof clubs in league 1 and 2 very desperate for money.

Exactly.. I've long thought we need to be looking at players from leagues 1 & 2.

The likes of Brentford and Peterborough have been doing it successfully for years.

Peterborough sold Toney on for big money and replaced him with Clarke-Harris who many on here said we should have gone for in the summer. He's now top scorer in League 1.

I like the look of Mullin at Cambridge, got an eye for goal and top scorer in League 2.

Also Danny Johnson for Orient who looks a bit like a James Madison style player.

Instead we seem to go down the foreign route which hasn't been a success.

There are better players than the likes of JVA and Pelupessy to be found here in league 1.

Think me and you have discussed NG before but yes I would take both Crewe full backs !!!

Jephcott I cant see us being interesting as he is a prospect but he's one that you would need to work with over time to get the best of, we need someone who can come in and hit the ground running. Ideally you'd sign Jephcott now, let him stay and play and Plymouth for the rest of the year then he could start here pre season.

Clarke-Harris was the perfect forward for us as I said in summer when Bristol Rovers were resigned to selling him.  Posh picked him up for next to nothing.

26, a unit, holds it up and knows where the net is.
