Portsmouth are no longer looking to sign Akin Odimayo.

The defender is not training with the League One side anymore, as per a report by The News.

Odimayo, who is 21-years-old, is a free agent with his contract at Swindon Town expiring at the end of June.

He has been linked with Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County and Stoke City over recent times, as per a report by TEAMtalk, and the door has swung open for other clubs to swoop in for him now.

MK Dons signed Mo Eisa from Peterborough. Looks like a fine striker for this level and natural replacement for Cameron Jerome.

His stock is rising, should pay dividends in the future.

was thinking. The exact same , are rumours only bazza leaving tho? Not heard any others . After Moore said expecting a busy spell and nowhere near I thought we would have had 2/3 in since adenrian , shodipo and brown . Have they gone elsewhere ? Are they close but just not announced ?

Borner will be off shortly. And Palmer and Paterson both not involved. Heard from a pretty reliable source a month or so ago that Palmer was trying to get a move to Forest. A couple of people on here have heard the same. Rumour that Paterson was trying to force a move due to delayed wages too. So wouldn’t be surprised if they’re looking to get out. And then obviously the Bannan rumours.

Thats four players leaving which would be catastrophic considering we’re paper thin as a squad already. We need to double the amount of players we intended to sign.

I imagine players have gone elsewhere. We’re not spending which is frustrating. Eisa for example is a quality signing for MK Dons at this level - was hoping he’s the type we were looking at.

Really need to pull our finger out.

Was looking promising last week but expected more in at this point.

We will struggle this season. Particularly if the rumours of players leaving are true. We will have to double the work to replace them if so.

not just for the 1st team either.

Our under 23s only have 8 players (Render, Thompson, Augas, Farmer, Truman, Glover, Bonnington and Zottos) that are not with the first team.

The under 18s look more or less set with 21 registered players.

Danny Cashman is still available for the midfield and Josh Sims as a winger who Moore knows well. Massive amounts of suitable players out there, just need to sign them [then pay them]

Palmer and Paterson were out due to sickness.

EFL are restricting Derby County to free agents loans within a specific wage bracket and they cannot sign player to deals longer than one year.

I wonder if we are under the same restrictions, but at league one salary level.

We seem to be labelled when ever derby county are mentioned re the EFL yet we get the more severe punishment and Derby get a slap on the wrist, anyone would think one of Derby Countys board worked for the EFL.

Stephen Pearce anyone.

Peterborough bought him for over a million in 2019 and have sold him for a loss 2 years later

One things for sure Peterborough don’t make losses in strikers unless they know they aren’t good enough

2 league goals last season

Doncaster Rovers have Sheffield Wednesday target Jayden Onen on trial after his departure from Reading, as per a report by the Doncaster Free Press.

Doncaster Rovers played the attacking midfielder against non-league side Wakefield in a pre-season friendly last night.

Random fact of the day - Wakefield AFC only formed about 2 or 3 years ago as a football team, up to that point they were the biggest city without a football team in England. There chairman is none other than Chris Turner.

I am surprised we have not played them in a friendly might have a chance of scoring some goals.😁😁😁

Hmmm.

Could be a standard line by the club. But how many were surprised when Bannan was on the teamsheet.

Had we had concrete evidence of a Palmer or a Paterson move like we had with Borner then I would say fair enough. But it's just us guessing they might be gone and them being missing fits in with it.

Both miss the next game then I might be more worried.

Halfway though another week and the best we can hope for is to sign another RB it seems (good player, but not the position we desperately need), meanwhile the season starts in 11 days.

Starting to feel like last season, and the one before that and before that....
