I like the look of it though. Aston Martin wins for bringing British Racing Green back and having Gemma Arterton presenting the reveal.
trev 4,176
So are this year's cars basically the same as last years? No major rule changes etc? Did Mercedes have to stop using that weird steering gizmo?
gazzatheowl 758
Basically yes. Every team had a certain amount of tokens they could exchange for development (think it was 2 tokens). No more DAS for mercs.
gazzatheowl 758
Aston Martin did the most I think because they get most of the back end from Mercedes so they didn’t cost any tokens.

Did Mercedes have to stop using that weird steering gizmo? There are a few rule changes, most notably on the floors and aero stuff. Merc have had to drop the DAS steering system. Remember: 2021 was supposed to be the big change with all new regulations, etc — but Covid hit and it was all pushed back to 2022 (next season). So we're essentially getting a 'follow-on' of last season's cars for the most part. Some development has been allowed to take place, but costs caps, limited development tokens and teams preferring to develop the more radical 2022 cars ready to try and get any advantage they can in the upcoming new regulations in the background has prevented anything too major for this season. 1 NEW: SHEFFIELD GUIDE Website! whatevertrevor 2,215
Haas haven't used their two development tokens as essentially it wasn't worth the cost given the major changes for next year. So they will be slow you'd think.
